SOURCE: Canon i960 printer won't print in blue

Your problem is the print head. You can buy one from Canon for about $95, or find them new from dealers on Ebay for $60 to $70. For a less expensive fix, try to remove the print head and clean it. (You don't need any tools, just remove the ink tanks and pull the print head forward and out. Over time, the receivers tend to get dry & crusted ink on them. Note that the inks used are fast drying inks to keep your pictures, etc. from smudging after you print them. Try not to use solvent. I use q-tips and hot water, then dry using another q-tip. If this does not work, there are commercial cleaning kits available for about $10. Short of that, your choice is to replace the print head or the printer itself. My i960 prints such good quality color prints and normal color printing, that I would fix it rather than replace the printer. I hope the easy cleaning does it for you!

If using aftermarket inks you sometimes have to rap them on a paper towel to break an air lock.If you see ink coming out after rapping them try to print again. If nothing comes out you may have a bad print head or purge pump.
Try cleaning the head (without cartridges)in a 10-20% ammonia warm water mixture for 30-45 min.
Completely dry the head before returning it to printer.

SOURCE: The black ink 3Be isn't printing fully. I have

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Epson px660 ink from ciss one inks patterns are not clear on nozle check even if i head clean so many times the lines are not complete

If you can get some cleaning fluid, used in rein shops, you can try to clean the heads.
Take out one cartridge and in the little pipe on the bottom where the cartridge was, drip in a few drops of cleaning fluid. Do this for all collars who have stripes. Then replace the cartridges and pep the printer print a few pages (normal paper) in full colour. Repeat this till the prints are ok. If 4 pictures A4 won't solve the problem, toy must have real dirt under the print head.

Black ink will not print

Have you tried setting the color to black cartridge only. You may be printing the black with a combination of colored inks. I occasionally have a similar problem. Sometimes I can get the black to work by taking a paper towel dampened with distilled water and holding it against the cartridge print head until I see black ink coming out. Replace the cartridge and try printing again. If this doesn't work try a new cartridge and run through your Printer Settings, making sure they are all set properly.

One ink head will not print

I would recommend doing some cleaning cycles from your printer or printer software. These can be found in maintenance under "Clean Print Head". These cycles force additional ink into the printhead and are useful in dislodging any blockages or dried ink.

Hope this helps.

No blus ink makes it to paper even though there is ink in cartridge. When looking at nozle check, no trace of blue.

Hi, remove ink tanks, remove print head and on piece of fabric spill some alcohol and few times press the bottom of printhead. Repet steps few time on clean fabrics.
Put it all back in and run head cleaning and then try to print nozlle check.

I have done a deep nozle clean on the printer but the yellow still doesn't seem to be working

Sometimes you may need to run quite a few cleaning cycles to get it to work. 10-20 or more. You can try cleaning the print head using white vinegar and a lint free swab. The vinegar dissolves any dried ink build ups. This can make any ink jet printer work just like new if you do a good job. BTW it can be messy and you better like smelling like a pickle ;-]

My waste ink absorber is full. What does this mean and what do I do about it?

The waste ink absorber is a sponge that collects and holds superfluous ink after a cleaning of the ink nozles.

Unfortunately the printer will stop printing when this error occurs.
Canon service is needed to have the absorber replaced.

The new ink cartridge is not dispensing its color.

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three
cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

If these actions produce no positive results, or if you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have a good ink cartridge properly installed, then you can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer
on, and as soon as the print head moves pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way.

Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then try a head clean again. Repeat this process again if necessary.

If still nothing, it looks like you may have a failed cyan print nozzle I'm afraid, or some other internal problem. This will require checkout by a Technician. Make sure you compare the cost of repair with the cost of a new printer!
