Do you have forced air cooling fans running over the CPU and motherboard? If not then get them running. Check to see if it they are running correctly. Make sure that all the heatsinks are free of dust and any other obstructions – vacuum them out with a soft brush tool. Also monitor the fans speed and CPU tem from the BIOS. Also check that the CPU heatsink is correctly mounted on the CPU and if necessary get some heat transfer grease and cover the top of the CPU ii it making sure it is evenly spread and then reseat the heat sink and secure it firmly. Do not let it fall on the motherboard or CPU pins or socket. Monitor the CPU temperature in the BIOS. You can also invest in a can of freezer spray from an electrical component store and spray areas of the motherboard to see if this helps. Try small areas at a time starting with the CPU & Heatsink. Then try the maim system RAM and then move on to the BIOS chip and NVRAM and then on to the graphics processor or card. If all this fails you may need to replace the CPU.

If you have cleaned out the dust with compressed air, then I suggest you look at the processor cooling. Is the fan running up to speed? Is the heat sink tightly in place on the processor? Feel the fins of the processor heat sink when you power it up and if they get hot your processor is most likely over heating and shutting down. If all is well at the processor, check the power supply fan to see if it is running and the only other suggestion is to try another power supply. Dust is your worst enemy in a computer.

Tv turns itself off as soon as it is turned on. it is a 32" proscan hdtv and dvd combo.tried switching power cord, power supply, way it is powered up nothing has worked.

This problem usually occurs as a result of overheating in units. The unit is meant to be placed in a location where enough breeze will be accessible to avoid over heating in the unit.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hi
Which fan. If it's the power supply fan then the power supply needs to be replaced. It could be damaged due to a heat related issue. Most likely it's the CPU fan that is going bad. Once the fan stops then the CPU heat goes up dramatically, the CPU then shuts down because of the high heat. CPU may be damaged also. Get this machine to to a reputable repair person as soon as possible.

When I turn on my computer it just turns itself

I've had this problem, the CPU was over heating. Cleaned OEM thermal paste off CPU & heat sink and reapplied thermal paste. Also know a bad P/S can also cause the same probblem.

Shut down itself

Hi i'm Rain.
If your Laptop is over heating you may need to look into a stronger type of cooling system { Fan }
But for now lets set up your power Options settings
to try to keep your CPU cool.
In power options select Power Saver.
If you see the selection to keep the fan running select it also. save and exit.
Hopefully this will help to keep your system cool until you can service it.

Turns off

That is heat-related symptom.
Use a can of compreseed air to clean the air vents.
Don't use the laptop on a carpet, rug, or pillow, etc.

You may have to open the laptop and add a small amout of thermal paste between the cpu and the heat sink. Let us know if the air worked, first.

Computer restart

yes the problem as you discussed was the processor's overheating. first, you need to open up the side cover of your casing then switch on check vissually if the fan of the processor is spinning if not then you need to replace this. and if this is spinning upon power on, the power supply will be checked its voltage.
