SOURCE: HP DeskJet 930c is leaking black ink

The printer primes and cleans the cartridges when the cartridges go to the right side of carriage. Sounds like a cartridge has either leaked or you have used it enough the the ink pool is full, or you have layed the printer on its side or back. From experence, if ink is leaking out of the printer, your probley better off getting anithe printer. I have tried to take the covers off and clean inside print, and it is a messy job.

SOURCE: My printer worked very well until I changed the

Smeared output can result when you refeed a printed page into the printer to make a double-sided page. This happens because the rubber rollers that grip the paper to pull it into the printer can pick up toner from the first side’s printing and smear it. So before replacing parts, this is an easy thing to check. Printing multiple pages consecutively will make the pages print progressively cleaner or you can clean the rollers with rubbing alcohol.

Smeared toner also happens because the nonstick coating on the fusing roller is scratched or has baked-on debris. This can happen if the printer is in a dirty environment especially. If you are comfortable removing the fuser, you can try to clean it with a soft cloth and alcohol, but make sure you let it cool down first!

Finally, if this does not resolve your issue then make sure the fuser is heating; toner that is not heated properly will fall from the page and smear. If the thermostat is bad or the fuser not working properly, you will most likely need to replace the entire fuser assembly. This will be pretty expensive to repair so hopefully it's one of those other issues.

Printer Problem-Not printing at all.

Hello,

Half circle = ready to print (when light is on )

! mark in a triangle = Attention light : Indicates printer media input tray is empty, print cartridge door is open, print cartridge is missing, or other errors. See Printer information pages for more information.
( light on means that there's an error )
piled circles = toner indicator (light on means toner ("ink") is low, needs replacement)

There's a help page for these light indicators, just in case other lights are / come on, see:

Perform the steps given below to clean the cartridges manually

=== Manually clean the ink cartridge and the contacts on the printer ===

1. Turn on the power to the unit and raise the cartridge access cover.
The cartridges will move towards the center.

2. After the carriage (the cartridge holder) stops, unplug the power
cord from the back of the unit. This will keep the cartridges from
moving back to the capping station.

3. Remove the cartridge(s) from the carriage.

4. Using a soft, clean, lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly
moistened with distilled, filtered, or bottled water gently clean
the face, edges and the electrical contacts. (Change to a clean
cotton swab as needed).

CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the ink nozzles on the bottom of
the print.

5. Inside the All-in-One, clean the contacts in the print carriage
with a slightly dampened soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Allow the
electrical contacts to dry completely.

now check if the issue still persists.

If you are using generic ink, the printheads have gone bad. The printheads cost around $65.00 each. and generic ink ruins them.

Are you using generic toners or HP branded? Try to reseat the yellow toner. The page counter can't be reset and should not be. This unit uses chips to recognize the toner level. Generic toners don't always have good chips on them.
