You most likey have a plugged vent ppe or the pipe is to long or have two many bends in it. try laying the vent pipe out and see if you can see anything in the pipe. Next if the pipe is clear check outthe vent door and make sure it is not plugged or the door is not frozen shut.

How do I vent out condensation from my tumble dryer?

Most dryers have a vent hose, about 4" across on the back. Normally, this is connected to a pipe that goes outside to vent the steam that comes from drying your clothes. A very few dryers use cold tap water to condense the steam, and then it runs down the drain. I don't know if they still make these, it's been 50 years since I saw one.

Won't dry but heats up and tumbles

Check the pipe where it comes out of the back for a blockage. Take it off completely. Also check the inside of the pipe and the vents where the steam exits your home. Sometimes birds nest in them or they just fill with fluff.

You can do a quick check by running the dryer with no pipe attached. Open the windows when you do it.

Elements will fail when they overheat due to blockages and lack or airflow.

Tumble dryer black soot

IF you checked the belt and there is no apparent ware; then only bearings will give off a soot when they are going bad. If the idler bearing is misaligned, it too can cause this to happen.

Tumble dryer when switched on cuts power to all sockets in house

Hi.
Try it with the heater disconnected, you will find it at the rear of the m/c at the bottom left behind a removable panel.
You may have to remove the top cover and the right hand side panel looking at the m/c from the front. Try it again.
I fit does not trip. then your heater is faulty.
If it still trips then you are probably going to have to call en engineer

Tumble dryer problem

nnot removing steam from drum???? you open your dryer and you see moisture???, if this is a stand alone dedicated dryer ( not a combonatin waher/dryer in one tub), you have a severly clogged/ blocked vent.. you will need to revent or clean the venting as soon as possible

no the steam from the dryer part comes out of outlet tube the same tube were the water comes out hotpoint washer/dryers use a condensing chamber which allows the steam to cool down a pass through it as water does and through the outlet pipe
