two possible causes. 1- make sure the valve body is installed with with shower mark on the valve body facing up. 2 - if you used pex pipe and fittings to stub out for the tub spout this will restrict the flow sending water to the shower, '' change out pex pipe and replace with copper or galvanized pipe

If some taps have really hot and others luke warm, then you might have defective mixing valve, check valve, or crossover on single handled faucet.

Crossover can also cause stacking event. Stacking could be part of puzzle.

Once crossover or check valve or mixing valve problem is solved, if you have really hot water to some taps, then turn down thermostat to avoid scalding.

The hot and cold are reversed on our single handle shower (no tub faucet -- shower only)

Hot on left.
Cold on right.
Some single handle faucets have bleed-over where both hot and cold enter mixing valve each time handle is turned on, even when faucet calls for just cold or just hot.
Otherwise maybe a do-it-yourself plumber got pipes backwards... or maybe the tub used to be on other side of wall, and tub was moved during remodeling but pipes were not changed.

To fix problem:
First of all, turn off shower faucet. Turn on Hot at sink and put ear against shower faucet listening for sound of water flowing through the mixing valve.
If mixing valve is working fine, you need to open wall and investigate more.
For example if you have access door, reach in and feel which pipe is hot.
Pipes might need to be reversed if problem comes up in home inspection, otherwise the problem will not harm anything.

it is more than likely that it is a ceramic insert and they do handle grit , dirt or anything else very well
the fix here will be to remove that ceramic insert and clean out anything that is found
a point of interest here is this
one small section equals all the pipe is in the same condition
you should consider replacing all of the gal pipe with either copper tubing or high pressure plastic pipe

No pressure in the kitchen faucet blanco

Possible problems and solutions are as follows.
  1. Check to see that water supply valves are open fully.
  2. Check to see if screen and aerator is free of debris.
  3. If living in old home with galvanized plumbing rust builds up in the pipe and decreases the water pressure as well. The fix for this is to replace with either plastic or copper pipe.
I hope I've helped you, please rate the answer on its helpfulness. Good Luck and have a great weekend.

When installing a shower temperature control valve should the cartridge be removed before soldering to copper pipes

Yes you need to remove the valve befor you solder the copper pipes on it. If you do not remove the valve you will melt it to the valve body and then it will not be useable.

Kitchen Sink Single handle faucet ''pressure'' problem

By replacing the ceramic cartidge inside, however to replace it requires dismantling the tap (Mains off of course) and matching a new unit. Usually cheaper to buy a new tap.

Single Handle faucet broke on my Kohler kitchen faucet and can find no replacement or solution

Is cheaper to replace the whole tap as the service kits cost almost as much as the tap to buy, I presume you are talking about a flick mixer tap (that is what they are called in australia)
Replacing them is reasonably easy, turn off water at the main out on the footpath turn the tap on to let the water run out, go under the sink with a couple of spanners or deep reach socket and undo the lines and the tap hold down nuts and remove, replace in reverse order
