Yes you can remove the front panel by putting a puddy knife between the top and front panel there are clips that you can push on after you remove the front panel you will see screws to remove the top, you will see 4 black rubber pieces that are on the 4 corners off the top of the tank one or more may have snapped they are very easy to replace. always make sure you have the washer unplugged first.

The spin cycle is very noisy. What could be the problem?

hi robyn.
A washer making a loud noise during spin cycle can also be caused by a faulty drive pulley. The pulley is what the belt (if applicable to yourwasher) rides on to spin your washers tub. The pulley can be made of plastic or metal. It could be simply worn out or just loose.27 Jul 2015

The washer tub has dampers to absorb this spin cycle vibration, your machine must have some broken dampers for the tub.

My washing machine makes a very loud banging noise at the start and end of the spin cycle and there is a scraping sound throughout the cycle as though there is metal in the drum. What could be causing...

If you have an older machine it is the un-even load distribution in the wash tub. The wash is not evenly distributed in the wash tub. The wash tub don't spin evenly and wobble instead.

Loud noise from tub when on fast spin aquarius wma48 1400 spin

possible causes are
Overloaded Machine

Putting too many items in your washing machine at one time or washing larger items, such as a quilt, can cause your washing machine to occasionally make excessive noise. Laundry can get trapped around the agitator and will hamper its movement, causing it to work harder to spin. Stop the wash cycle and remove the excess laundry on top. Take big, bulky items to a laundromat or drycleaners to wash in an industrial machine equipped to handle such items. A washing machine is more effective at cleaning laundry when water and suds can surround the clothes and penetrate fabrics.
Defective Balancing System

GE washing machines have a balancing system that includes counterweights, springs and pistons that help to evenly distribute weight inside the wash tub. If any of the system's components break, it can interfere with the drum's rotation. Rather than spin evenly in the machine, the drum might be imbalanced up or down and produce a knocking sound. The noise might become louder and more persistent each time you do a wash load until you replace the faulty component.
Washing Machine Not on Level Surface

Place your washing machine on a flat surface, preferably a concrete slab. If the floor underneath the washing machine is sloped, even the slightest bit, it can cause the machine to vibrate when it spins and agitates. Place both hands on either side of the washing machine and try to move it. If the machine moves, then adjust its feet at each of the bottom four corners of the machine by tightening or loosening the bolts with a wrench until the machine is level on all four sides.

Whirlpool washer making loud noise when spinning

It sounds like you need a bearing job. The bearings in the back half of the wash tub go bad. and the washer gets loud .It's an expensive repair. I hope this helps

Maytag washer makes loud grinding noise during the spin cycle

if it's making a noise then either your drain pump bearing is going out or your thrust bearing is going out (assuming the noise happens in both spin and wash). Tip the washer backwards so that you can get underneath of it. Take the belt off and spin the pump pulley on the right side. This should spin effortlessly.

The middle pulley is the trustbearing pulley. Spin this--- one direction it should have a little bit of resistance--- the other should have more resistance

Loud screeching noise when the wash and spin cycle ends

You either have something caught between the tub and basket or a bearing bad.
