i have that manual, that is no help to me. what i need to find out is how do i assign an outside line to a c01 and c02. i finally got it to ring. but when someone else in the office calls me on that line it goes to my intercom. also when i am on the one line and the other line rings it doesn't ring on my phone. i need to assign c01 with one outside line and c02 with another outside line. please tell me how to program my kxt7020 to do this. thank you.

i'm not talking about speed dial. i am talking about the incoming office phone number when a customer calls us on that phone number. that's the phone number i want to program is our business phone number.

  • virginia_rog Oct 02, 2009

no it is not. here is the situation, i have c01 line that incoming phone number is 215-836-9000, then i have c02 which has the phone number 215-836-7880 coming in. i was trying to set the speed dial and the c01 line i couldn't dial out on anymore and when someone called in from the outside the c01 line rang to my intercom button instead of the c01 button. the way i screwed this up was i switched it to program, pressed the autodial button, pressed the c01 button then pressed the autodial button again. i have since been able to fix the c01 so that when someone calls it rings to the c01. but now when c02 rings it doesn't ring at my desk. it is now unusable. the fix for c01 was swtich to program hit # 0, c01, then store. so do i do that for c02, do i use the number 0?

Sorry for the mis understanding.. The business number is not assigned to a phone!! It assigned to a specific jack by the phone company and by plugging any phone into that specific jack the business number will automatically ring at the phone plugged into it. If its not correct you need to contac the phone company to reassign the jack to the appropriate # for receiving incoming calls. I hope this is what you mean if not please be more specific so I can answer you question properly...

you can have up to 12 CO#'s with this phone, and use the corresponding #'s on the phone to program different #'s. 1,2,3, etc. depending on which you want 1st or second and so forth. If your ok with the 1st # being where it is use #2 for the second #.

You have to request the refund through the customer service email system via the link on lower right of screen. I have not been paid unless you accept the solution. Its held by Fix Ya until its accepted then credited to an expert or either refunded.

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

Trying to get phone numbers programmed on a Panasonic KX-T7633. I can store them in a directory, but am having trouble assigning them to the "Flexible CO buttons".

It's a trick. Assign the button, then press PROG the button, and dial 2 then 9, or whatever your access code is for an outside line, then the number and ENTER. You can press more buttons and dial more numbers, or press EXIT to quit.

I have a PANASONIC KX-DT333 with several handsets. On all handsets we cannot dial out . The message LINE NOT ASSIGNED comes up on all handsets. Also we have had no incoming calls. Callers are all getting a...

I don't know about a handset, since mine doesn't have a dial, but the phone underneath the handset has to have a button programmed with the lines you use in order to work. By default, the system has some number of Single CO buttons assigned in numerical order from the bottom to the top and left to right. You can test that by pressing PROGRAM, press the line buttons in sequence, and reading the display. They will say CO 001, 002, 003 etc. If they don't, you can always dial 0 001 store, 0 002 store etc and get the line appearance back.

This solution works in a small system and is very basic. It doesn't take a T1/E1/PRI or group CO buttons. into consideration. Such a solution is beyond the scope of a free forum.

I think you unprogrammed a button. Press PROGRAM and the button and read your display. It will either tell you what it is or be blank. To make it a CO button for lines, dial 0 + line number STORE.

If your 773x phone is connected to most Panasonic systems, you can press PROGRAM and the place where lines are supposed to be assigned and it will tell you what's under the button with names like CO1, CO2, CO3 etc.

If it says something else, you can make it become outside line access buttons by the command 0+a number 1,2,3 and STORE.
You can do all 3 buttons at once, just keep pressing them and dialing the sequence with a STORE. After you've finished, just pick up the handset and drop it back down to end programming.
