L need a wire diagram for the joystick

You have something much more serious to address before you replace the female xlr fitting. I have never, in 12 years and hundreds of issues with chargers and such, never saw a burned connector. You need to figure out why it burned before you restore it, otherwise you are going to toast another xlr connector, or worse, yourself!

Akg c4000b hum

usually humming is caused by defective cables. Check if the cable is wired correctly. Open both XLR plugs and check:
Pin 1 shield
Pin 2 hot (usually red wire)
Pin 3 cold (black, blue or whatever)
Pinnumbers are written near pins usually.
If that doesn't help shake the cable for contact issues.
The microphone could have a broken shield connections as well. Maybe there's a small screw near the XLR output connector. Unscrew (sometimes this screw needs to be turned CLOCKWISE) and check connections.

Connecting r21s to laptop

The input to the laptop usually requires a stereo or TRS type 1/8 inch plug If the mic has an XLR type connector, you need a special cable that connects the XLR pins 1 and 3 (adjacent pins) to the shield of the 1/8 inch plug and pin 2 of the XLR connector to BOTH the tip and ring of the little stereo jack. Such a cable is not commonly available so the best is to make one from parts you get at Radio Shack.

Audio-Technica freeway 200 Series VHF Wireless System - I had problems connecting the wireless system with a quarter inch to a xlr. The sound system made a very loud disturbance sound. What cable do I use...

XLR connectors are a two-wire plus ground system. Using a 1/4 inch to XLR adapter may not connect the wires correctly to your sound system input.

The A-T Freeway 200 Series has a 1/4" output jack. This would indicate a line level. A cable to connect the tip of the 1/4" jack to pin 2 of the XLR and the sleeve of the 1/4" jack to pins 1 and 3 of the XLR should work. The XLR should be plugged into a device that accepts line level.

Ideally, you should plug the 1/4" into a 1/4" or RCA jack that is designed for line levels.

I need to know how to wire an xlr y adapter

Hi,

I always solder it this way.
Take a female XLR connector, two thin sym. cables and two male XLR connectors.
Solder both cable parallel in the female connector and the ends on the male connectors.
This way you get the same signals on both inputs of your amplifier.

Regards,
Gerard

Wires in the microphone at the point where you connect to the lead have come appart and i need to solder them back on, Black, red and white wires. Which in which order do i solder them onto the connecter...

There are many standards of microphone connectivity with 3 pin XLR (cannon) style plugs. It depends on where in the world you are as to the favoured standard,
Your microphone usesthe following::

Pin
1 ground (white) 2 +ve or hot (red) 3 -ve or return (black)

Another way to work out what wires connect to what, is to remove the cover of one of your XLR-XLR microphone cables exposing the connections it favours, plug the connector into the mics scoket , and use the connections to the cable guide you in resoldering the connections back on.
The same connections can be veiwed in the user manual here

Shure SM2 Headset/Mic wiring

Headset connection: Blue wire to Pin 2, White wire to Pin 1, Yellow wire to Pin 3. Connect Pins 1 & 2.
Microphone connection: Black wire to Pin 3. Red wire to Pin 2. Ground wire to Pin 1.
I am using a male/female 7-pin XLR connector assembly to black box. I am using two 3-pin XLR connectors, one for SM2 microphone function, one for SM2 headset function.

Shure SM57 Wire broken off

On the XLR end, you should see a small screw hole. This screw is reverse threaded. In other words to make it go into the mic, you need to turn it counter-clockwise. Once that screw is inside the shaft, the XLR connector should come out. You may need to pull it out using needle-nose pliers. Pull carefully so you don't break the wires.
