Spidem Divina Power Problem

I have metered out the appliance, it appears that there is power getting to the control boards and all other locations within the machine. I am unable to determine why, after plugging in the machine the controls do not light up and I am unable to operate the machine.

Re: Spidem Divina Power Problem

If there is power at the board and no response at all than it has to be your board that has burnt out. Also, make sure that the temp sensor coming from the boiler is plugged in. The temp sensor is the only thing that would prevent it from coming on and that very rarely happens.
If you need this part, it will have to be ordered.

You should have screws at the top to remove. Unplug it first. Then when you have the top removed, you can begin your cleaning. Put screws back in place and you are ready to go.

My Spidem does not turn on.

plug the machine to another power outlet. If it still doesn't power on, check the power cord and make sure it is not melted in anyway. Also, check the head of the plug if it is a 3-pin-plug like the one the below image to check if the plug head is not melted and check the fuse inside the plug.

If the above seems not to be the problem, then it means your machine is having a power problem.

So if it does not power up, then it means its having a power problem. it might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.

This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit turn on. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to power on.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter in order to test the components on the power board, once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck.

Could be a leak in the high pressure lines or the boiler. The boiler leaking was a issue on the order models by saeco.

• Press the buttons (23) and (25) and (see the back of the machine or the manual), at the same time, switch ON the appliance using the ON/OFF switch .

Spidem Divina - one cup and 2 cup lights flash together

Caution light usually means something is out of place. Nothing will work until everything is in place and locked.
Steady water light means it needs to be primed, (run water by opening the steam knob). It won't heat until the boilers are primed.
