Question about Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Calculator

1 Answer

On my 20 year old HP RPN Scientific Calculator model 32S, the + and - keys will push and don't seem sticky, but nothing happens. I cleaned the surface of the keypad with alcohol and a Q tip and sprayed with compressed air but it didn't help. Thanks.

You may consider buy a new model, you won't get a repair either, it is too old

Hp 32sII enter degrees minutes seconds

According to the "HP 32SII RPN Scientific Calculator Owner's Manual" (at the link below), you just need to treat degrees, minutes, and seconds conversions as hours, minutes, and seconds. Use the left-shift and right-shift keys together with the 5 key to convert to decimal-fraction form (D.d format) and to minutes-seconds form (DD.MMSSss), respectively.
See pages 4-9 and 4-10.

Alg has shown up on my 12c how do i get it back to orginial format

I presume you're on a Platinum since the non-Platinum 12Cs don't have an algebraic mode.

To switch back to RPN, press f [RPN]. That's the yellow "f" key followed by the "CHS" key.

I have an HP 32SII RPN Scientific calculator. The keys stick. What can I do to fix it?

Spray a little window cleaner on the buttons, then rub it in a towel and lay it upside-down on a dry towel for a few hours and it should be all better.

Missing Keystrokes on the HP17bII+ Calculator

Have you tried any other models of HP calculators? Like maybe the 12c? Perhaps the issue is the way you push the buttons - I'm not saying you're doing it wrong what I'm saying is maybe the tactile response from this particular model just doesn't work for you. i.e. it feels like you pressed the button but it didn't actuate. I know, it's a rude idea to solve an HP problem by suggesting buying another HP but it just might work. Go by an office products place and see if the have a 12 Demo you can play with to see if you have the same issue. If this doesn't resolve the issue then maybe try one of TI's business models.
