E3 is heater related fault - either heater itself or the small thermostat right at the back in the middle of the machine screwed up into the base of the tub. This thermostat being open circuit is a common fault. Also check for the door loom chafing on the poorly finished lower panel where the wiring leaves the door into the base of the appliance.

Give me your model number to say how to change thermostat.

    1. Shut off the main water supply in your home, which is usually in the basement. Remove the bottom rack of the dishwasher by pulling it all the way out and setting it aside.

    2. Unplug the dishwasher before you attempt to do any repairs. Remove the bottom access panel of the dishwasher and disconnect the wires that lead to the element. You may need a flashlight to see them. These wires are to the left inside of the panel and are white and brown on most dishwashers.

    3. Loosen all the brackets that hold the heating element in place by taking out the screws and gently pulling the brackets up. Lift out the old element and set aside. Place all the screws and brackets into a plastic bag so they don't get lost. You'll need these to hold down the new element.

    4. Place the new element in the dishwasher in the same manner that the burned-out element was set.

    5. Reconnect the power leads by threading them back down through to the front access panel. Wrap the wires around the electrical connectors and tighten the terminal screws. Make sure all the connections are tight.

    6. Replace the brackets in the dishwasher and screw them down to hold the new element in place. Jiggle the element lightly to make sure it's secure. Replace the bottom access panel.

    7. Turn the electricity and the water supply back on. Run the dishwasher one time without dishes or soap to make sure everything is working properly.

What is fault E3?

E3 means that the heating element is operating when it should not be doing so. It may be caused by an older, weaker element that is taking too long to heat the water or the thermostat may be giving incorrect readings. Ensure you are using hot water to fill the machine (if tied to your faucet water supply, run the water until it is hot before starting the dishwasher). Information from the Belling manual:

If the heating element is still heating after the allowed time, then the control board will advance the programme to next step and at the end of the washing cycle the alarm buzzer will sound for 30 sec and the display will show E3.

When the control board detects that the heating element is operating during a non heating step or during the internal test the heating circuit is found to be open circuit then the alarm buzzer will sound for 30 sec and the control board will cease all functions except for the drain cycle which will run for 90 seconds and then E3 will be displayed on the control panel.

My Candy DFI Plan shows E3 and stops washing after 10-15 minutes. The problems started because electronics( I swithed with new) than I change the water pump, the heater, the thermostats and when is on,...

E3 - Missing heating of the water.

Could be:
· Clogged filtering plate.
· Defective heating element.
· Defective wiring (open circuit, leads
off place or loose).
· Defective electronic control board.

You have already changed all major electrical components energized during the heating phase. But do not forget that failures sometimes could be mechanical. For example: failure could be in hydraulic circuit of pressure switch, sometimes hydraulic circuit can lost air pressure. Another note would be that your dishwasher have NTC thermistor which every second gives information about temperature to electronic than electronic controlled heating element by a relay.
In order to heating element come under the voltage is necessary to fulfill a couple of requirements. Microswitch on the door in the closed position, the pressure switch in position 11-13 (full position , level of water) and the main switch is turned on.

Bush dishwasher wqp12-9270 is showing e3

E3 fault is caused by the water reaching the required temperature or taking too long to reach temperature. It will be either a malfunction of the temperature sensor or something wrong with the heating element.

Hi - have a kenwood KDW125L3A and is showing error E3 - help please. Ricardo

E3 is a temperature error. There are two thermostats,90 degrees and 78 degrees. This requires removal of the ride side of themachine to access. The other signal for the E3 error is the heating elementitself. If the water isn't heating at all, either the element or the 90 degreestat is faulty. You can change both and none of it is difficult to change for amoderately competent.
