Question about LG RU-42PX11 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
Went POP and now it has a grey/black and white distorted image. What do I do??
Hi all..i had the same problem with my 42 inch LG
rz42px11. its a faulty zsus board(Z sustain part no 6871QZH033A) the pop
sound was the fuse on the board blowing.not that hard to replace but be careful with the connector ribbons! got my replacement from
https://www.chsinteractive.co.uk/ £150....expensive,but probably cheaper than
calling someone out to fix it.
P.S i tried just to replace the fuse on the board T2AH 250v but it blew,i think the fact the fuse blows means the board is faulty..but you could try.
hope this helps someone.

I am a true tec ive been doing this fo 27 years .the prob your having is y-sus board .the pop you heard was the ic under the big heat sink . common sense tells you if you have a blown fuse there is somthing wrong. and when you tell someone to replace a cap dont tell them its the silver ones . give them loc. and valu of cap the silver ones you were refering to are surface mounted caps . but they also have a valu and a location #dont replace caps or fuses you are wasting your time and will do more dammage replace y-sus board these tv.s also had a problem with z-sus and logic modules

I have the same exact TV, LG Plasma TV RU42PX10C. It has a pop sound, and now all I see are moving shadows on a dark black/gray screen. Sound is fine, powers up, tv works...only see dark shadows of the broadcast...seems like the backlight or bulb. I read that it could be the back fuses, but there are no fuses on any of the boards that are removeable without soldering and expert electrical knowledge. But I dont know for sure, any help is really appreciated. email me if you have a solution please

Ok im a tech now when i heard that pop again all i did is replace the y-sus board now the tv is up and running but like you guys said you see dark grey screen so what i did to fix this problem on the y-sus board they where 2 capacitor bad and i replace it with the same one from the old z-sus board and the tv looks great i hope this work with u guys and the capacitor they are silver ok so u dont have to replace the board and remember when u heard that pop and when you replace the z-sus check all the fuse again from the y-sus to the z-sus ok
