SOURCE: VisionQuest Van gogh Plasma 32

Good day sir, your tv or any new tv are now using SMPS or technically called switch mode power supply, a regulator mode that is more efficient than traditional power supply, the down side is that its prone to defects, there are three main parts the Switching element which is the transistor, the oscillator circuit which is usually an IC that controls the frequency of oscillation and the high freqency power transformer that works with the switching transistor. All of these parts are need to be checked to ensure proper operations. SMPS also detects overload, which is caused by faulty parts on your tv, unless that faulty part is not found, it will not start and go on standby mode, worst will always shuts down. Call your dealer on how to go about your tv problem or have it check by a qualified technician.

You don't say what model it is but usually there are power, volume, channel, etc, buttons on the side or the top of the tv. Look well. They try to hide them. This link might help.....

Reset Password?

I had same problem, called visionquest tech support for how to reset the tv:

Using the remote, press source then 2580.
A menu should appear, go to other settings then choose restore default. Select yes.

It worked for me - hope it does for you too!

Need a universal remote control code Vision quest Van gogh 42

According to my information this TV does not have any published universal codes as of yet. A call to the manufacturer results in:

" Just use the remote that came with the TV...it's too new to have the codes yet"

Not very helpful are they? IT's a nice Tv for the $$..guess customer support is sacrificed when we try to save some $$.

Vision Quest Van Gogh 32 " plasma TV. What are remote codes?

Codes are stored in the remote. If you use a universal remote you can try its code search (or equivalent) feature to find something that will manage some or all functions of your TV. If a search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not store all possible codes.
