Re: Ford Mondeo car radio is locked

The dealer needs to help you with this. This is part of the theft protection system built into many new cars. In most cases, only the dealer can turn it back on.

I've got a nissan primera, 2004, radio was faulty so I got a 2nd hand one off ebay with code, I fitted radio and all it says on the screen please wait that stays one for a min or 2, then it says secur

Turn radio on and leave! It could be minutes or hours.....depends on how many attempts to input code have been made! The radio will eventually be ready to accept code! If you turn radio off before it reaches the code stage the process starts turn radio on and leave, just keep checking the screen for indication of code ready to be input!

How to use eurovox pin in a vx commodore?

Radio P.I.N. (Personal Identification Number)
Your PIN. must be entered if the battery is disconnected. The P.I.N. is shown on the
security card that was originally in the glovebox of the new car. Please keep the card in
a safe but accessible place (not in your car), as this safety feature is provided as a theft
To enter the P.l.N.:
•turn ignition to accessories and turn radio on ("1" or "CdE 1" appears),
•press the radio buttons in your P.I.N. order,
•the radio will shortly begin to play.
If an incorrect P.I.N. is entered the number "2" or "CdE 2" appears on the display.
Following three incorrect P.l.N.s the display shows" - - - ", and the radio must remain
connected to power for approx. one hour before the correct P.I.N. can be entered.
Therefore, if your car repair requires battery disconnection you may wish to provide the
servicing dealer with your PIN.
If the P.I.N. number is XXXX, contact your Holden Dealer. He will require proof of
ownership and the Vehicle Identification Number shown on the inside front cover of this
handbook. There may be a nominal charge for this service.

Radio lock, how do i unlock it what is the code

I am a Master Installer and have install thousands of amplifiers for 12 yrs and I have never heard of an amp having a radio lock? If your amp dont work just look to see if your fuses are not blown.

No amp that I've heard have a circuit breaker that you can reset. Unless its in the hood of the car. Some people install these cause they dont want to keep buying fuses everytime the amp current is to much but they are usually big in size and not practical to make in a amp. Just look at your circuit breakers in your house they are huge boxes.

If amp is already connected in your car. Go to the hood and find the large fuse connected to your battery. You will see an aftermarket 4guage to 8 guage thick power cable usually blue or red. Inline with it is a tubular fuse holder or a big rectangular fuse holder. Replace the fuse inside it no matter if it still looks good because sometimes internally the connection got bad you can test it with a multi-meter for continuaty. The amp should work again.

Sorry for the long answer but your question has very little info. You have a pic of a amp and your talking about a radio lock. Its possible your having problems with a radio code? specify the radio aftermarket or model & yr of the car please next time.

Unlock code

This is a dealer problem. The point of the code is to keep someone from stealing the radio. If you don't have the original manual with the code sticker, then you will have to take it to a dealer. Some nice service managers will give you the code for free with proof of ownership. Others will charge as much as $50 for it.

Car Radio
If you are willing to pay 14.99 they will give you your code to unlock it.
What I've read, requires you to contact your dealership. It is possible they won't charge you anything for it.
