Question about Vacuums
Switch is housed in the top of a tube and there is no visible means of fixing or removing the switch. There is a small keyhole at the rear of the switch housing. Is there a tool needed to remove the switch and if so how does it operate?
You have to remove the yellow on /off switch first. This is actualy a cover to the switch below. I removed mine with x1 of the centre prongs of a fork. Bend the centre prong to 90 degress to the fork handle, and put a tiny kink at the end of that prong. (you should end up with a funny lookink "Z" shape. Bend the remaining x3 prongs totally out of the way. Keeping the yellow switch cover up - use pliers here- push the singular prong down the flat egde of the cover. ie inboard. When you think you have the clip pushed in pull the cover up with the pliers and - hey presto access to the actual sw and wires is revealed.
