Make sure that your fuel mix is correct and clean. Also make sure there are no air bubbles trapped in the fuel line. Agitate the fuel tank to make sure there is no blockage caused by dirt and debris, and if you have a fuel filter fitted, then make sure it is clean and does not need replacing.

Next check the air filter to make sure it is clean.

Next check that the spark plug is whitish grey and matt in colour and not back, oily or pure white. If so then change the plug and set the correct spark gap for the particular type of plug you are using. If the plug is black and sooty or pure white matt then the fuel mix is incorrect and you will need to adjust this. Black indicates too much oil in the 2 stroke and burning low and the white indicates over temperature and probably not enough oil in the fuel mix or using to high an octane rating. If it is oily then there is far too much oil in the fuel mix and if you are using a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke with additional lubrication then there is oil leaking into the combustion area most likely caused by a worn or cracked piston ring. After that check that the carb is operating correctly and opens fully when starting and closes as the engine warms upon idle. Also make sure that it idles evenly. Also if it stops when you throttle it then look at the spark cap to make sure it is not loose or damaged and produces enough voltage to fire up the plug correctly otherwise you may have a generator issue or a carb problem or air filter problem or something restring air flow. Also check the engine casing over for any cracks or damage.

Same problem. Bulb feels "squishy" when pumping and won't keep gas line filled. What are "specs" on the fuel lines? Air leaking around lines, etc?

(if engine is good, not overheated )
its only 1 of 2 things.
lost spark (do a spark test using , yes, a test good spark plug)
if spark is good on all cyl
then check fueling, if spark plugs not soaked in fuel (tips)
then try test fuel.
if soaked, the op guide says, hold throttle fully open (depressed 100%) this cuts INJECTIONS 100% and you start a flooding motor)

I think the truck may have a vapor lock. The reason I think this is because when it is cold it runs great but when it gets the least hot or even warm it acts like it is out of gas and tries to shut do

Has a engine misfire or ignition control module is bad . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that can diagnose the problem by testing an not guessing .

have the fuel pressure and volume tested with a gage.this sounds and acts like a fuel pump problem.check the fuel filter as well and replace anyways.when it won`t start but cranks can you hear the fuel pump running.listen at the fuel filler neck with the gas cap off.if you can`t listen under the car at the fuel tank you should hear it running/if not hit the gas tank and if the car starts then the pump needs replacing.you should check to make sure you are getting spark at the spark plugs to eliminate an ignition problem but i think its fuel.

HELP! HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE ! 2001 chevy blazer fuel problems

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.

1989 S10 Blazer acting like its not getting gas.

I had the same problem with my blazer and it took me to completely rebuild the throttle body and put over $300 into the top end, new filter, and it still didn't stop. I finally dropped the tank and started to go through all the proper steps to remove the new fuel pump and i found that the rubber tube from the pump filter to the intake tube had a crack down the middle of it, replaced that and it ran perfectly fine. if that's not the case make certain that you didn't accidentally switch the small fuel lines like i did.(you'll notice that EVERYTHING smells like gas and you'll have fuel draining out of the charcoal cab emissions filter). hope that helps out a little bit!
