Then go to Settings > iCloud to turn off Find My iPhone. Now, you can factory reset your iPhone with iTunes as follows.

I reset my iphone 3g..and it says that it would only take about an hour..but after an hour in didnt start up..it hanged up..it shows only the logo from the screen. how can i fix this?pls help..thx alot

Hi, How do you reset you iphone? Do you want to restore to original factory setting or restore to the back up. Everytime you connect your iphone to computer which have Itunes, Itunes will try to sync the change between Itunes and your Iphone. Before doing that, Itunes always create a back up. If you want, you can restore to early good point back up. There is other way to restore your iphone. Google and download your iphone firmware, save it. When click Restore in Itunes, press Shift key at the same time, it will ask you the firmware you want to restore, browser where you saved and restore you iphone to the firmware you want. Hope this will help. Thanks for reading.

Hi, I can only get sound from my i phone 3G when it is loudspeaker or the headphones are plugged in. Any ideas ? graham

Connect your iphone to itunes and back up its contents. Afterwards do a restore to factory settings, this will of course erase everything but you have a back up so it's alright. Restore from your back up, itunes will ask you if you'd like to do this. Should the iphone still have a problem then you'd need to take it to the nearest apple store for a hardware inspection. Good luck!

I think the only thing you can do now is restore your iPhone to the factory setting. If I can chat with you then I can show you every steps. But you can check on the iPhone manual or just connect to iTune choose restore and do what it say on the screen. Good luck and hope this help ;)

Iphone reset

Ok I have this problem, rite now and i just cme off of the phone with an apple support technician. Ok when ur logo is up...hold down the home and sleep buttton until the apple logo dissapears...now ur phone should be off. Make sure ur iphone is not connected to usb so far...wait 2 minutes and open itunes on ur comp, and plug one end of the usb cable into your computer...now, hold down the home button DO NOT LET GO, and while holding it down, plug in the usb cable into your iphone and wait for itunes to say that it has discovered an iphone in recovery mode, after u see it in itunes, let go of home button and click ok. Now, click restore and you are on your way to a working iphone again :D if any more problems email me at sargentscar@hotmail.com, so i can give you further information.

3g solution

if it still gives you problems then you have a hardware issue, apple won't touch a jailbroken iphone so hopfully you have the apple care protection. Restore it to factory settings and try to take it in for service.
