Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I can't do a speed test with my Cisco router.

Are you able to browse any other web pages through your router? If you are not able to view the speed test page alone, Then it might be a flash problem. Most of the speed testing pages uses flash and you might require a latest flash player to be installed on your system.
You can better visit ScanmySpeed.Com to test your internet speed. This website doesn't require flash to test internet speed.

I suspect Mac Filtering is the problem
see page 37 and 38 of Cisco administration Guide on Mac Filtering.

"Connection Control The Wireless > Connection Control page is used to exclude or allow only listed client stations to authenticate with the access point. Depending on how the WAP is configured, the WAP device may refer to a MAC filter list stored on an external RADlUS server, or may refer a MAC filter list stored locally on the WAP device. I am using Linksys Wireless- N (wrt120) and my download speed seems to work great but when I browse the internet my pages won't load. Sometimes they will load very slowly. It seems like the connection

There may be competing wireless routers or networks nearby on the same band. Within the router's interface, try switching to a different band (2.4 Ghz vs. 5.0 Ghz) or use different radio channels. By default the router will attempt to do this automatically, but you may want to try adjusting them yourself and see what you get.

Cisco pix 515 workstations cant get outside pix can

You have to create a route statement to allow workstations to get online.

Below is the command:
route interface_name ip_address netmask gateway_ip

Example:
route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 200.200.200.1
or
route outside 0 0 200.200.200.1

When there is already a route statement but still cannot get online, check the DNS settings.

Restricting websites at router or firewall level

Hello,

The pix does not allow you to block urls except if you use it in conjunction with websense for example. You could however deny all outgoing traffic to port 80 except for the ip address of the websites you want to be able to access.

To do that you would setup an access-list allowing you internal network to access certain ips on port 80 and deny all other traffic outgoing.

Let me know if you need more information on how to accomplish this.

Wireless is connected,but no internet

hey dear,
thanks for your time.... now, as i understand you correctly.. even though you seem to be connected ot the internet wirelessly, you are not able to pull out webpages right?

Try to power cycle the modem.. turn off modem and the computer for about 5 minutes... then try to power it on.. wait for the lights on the modem to turn green and then try to connect... you should be connected. good luck

Got forget to rate me....... take care.
