There is no blockage in the spray arms of filters the water circulates normally and machine is only a couple of months out of warranty.

What I need is someone with specific access to AEG manuals or experience of this model.

    Thanks for the suggestion

The machine is only a few months out of warranty , it has been suggested that filters and spray arms may be blocked this is not so and water circulates normally.

AEG specify some of the fault light sequences in their user manualbut not all of them, what I need is someone that has specific experience of AEG and / or this model or has access to the service manual for the same.

I am actually a qualified engineer myself so obvious things have already been checked.

Further info:it had been suggested that filters / spray arms are blocked this is not so. I had said in my description that water circulates normally this is so and there are no blockages. The machine is fairly new and only a few months out of warranty.

I am actually a qualified engineer myself and so obvious / simple items have already been checked.

AEG list some of the error signals in the user manual but not all. What I need is someone which specific AEG experience or access to the service manuals to check out the indication.

No the anti flood device is three lights in sequence if the anti flood is tripped the machine stops running.

The underside of the machine is dry the antiflood switch is visible and not tripped.

this is not the cause I understand that you are trying to help but would appreciate no wild guesses

This means that the Anti Flood Device has been activated and you should shut off the wtare supply to the machine and call a Service Engineer ASAP as there is a major fault with the dishwasher.

Adrian,

you may want to check on the link below

the lights that flash are a fault code.this should be able to be readand a diagnoses made.if aeg have been out to it get them back as thework they do comes with warranty.if needs be they should take it in anddiagnose it in a workshop which will eliminate supply issues.could befaulty pressure hose filling with water or sump float sticking.pouringBOILING water down pressure hose into the sump seems to clean them andmake them work but this may no be relevant to your dishwasher fault

Hi,

Usually 5 times flashing refers to blocked spray arms. However, it normally means there's a blockage in the spray pump or the filters.Take your filters out and take the spray arms off, try the machine again. It's basically saying it's being starved of water.

If problem still persists, let me know.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Do accept the solution, if 100% satisfied from my service!!

Why my AEG F55080vi stops after drain cycle (program beginning) and then it stops and I hear 2 beeps and 2 flash continuously?

Definitely, water drain time-out. Error code i20.
The pressure switch doesn't return to EMPTY (1-2) after two drain phases lasting 120 seconds.
Possible causes:
Drain circuit obstructed/blocked; drain pump
interrupted or jammed (foreign bodies); level
pressure switch blocked on FULL (1-3); hydraulic
circuit of pressure switch obstructed; wiring faulty;
circuit board faulty.

Thanks to your detailed description of failure I conclude that in drain phase (after starts drain pump) leaks water and causing a short circuit. I would thoroughly reviewed drain hydraulic circuit. If is alarm displayed and there is no water inside dishwasher then check heater and anti-interference suppressor.

When I start the normal 50 button, the top and middle lights blink three times. Then after few seconds the normal 50 and bottom lights start to blink

Start the wash programme
1. Check that when the dishes and cutlery are loaded in the dishwasher
the spray arms are free to rotate.
2. Open the water tap fully.
3. Shut the door.
4. Press the ON/OFF button. ON/OFF button indicator comes on.
5. Press the button for the programme required (see "Programme Table"). The programme indicator lights up. One or two lights will flash in the multi-display. During this time it is possible to reselect the programme. The selected washing programme begins after approx. 6 seconds. The current wash programme stage will always be shown in the multi-display.
3 If the top light and/or the middle light in the multi-display flash after
the programme has started please read the section "What to do, if...".

MANUAL

AEG has the manual for the L87490FL on their support site. I found 5 different PNC identifiers for this model. The English versions of the manuals can be found by searching for this model here: http://www.aeg.co.uk/Support/Manuals/ . The direct link for the 91453121700 version of the L87490FL is http://www.electrolux-ui.com/2011/132/938930EN.pdf . If this link doesn't work, start at the support link above.

I hope this helps.

Push these buttons in this order High temp wash > Heated dry>High temp wash >Heated dry all the lights will come on and this will reset the board and run it through a short test cycle but more than likely it will come up again,It's a failure in the heating cycle either the heater itself or the turbidity sensor which sits mounted up into the tub right behind the drain pump...hope this helps
