Error #1203 is a message error caused by either a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In-One (AIO), or by a shorted printheads.
In clearing up this error clean the contacts and look for obstructions around the printer head and cartridge.
You also should update your computer and printer software with the wizard available at the Lexmark site:
Many times the computer gets updated, or the printer software, and if not both them then both don't have the same information, and will cause an error.

- Try cleaning the area with a small damp cloth.
Then before you
print anything, you should run aligned the catridges a couple times
then run clean catridges a couple times.
Print the test page to see how it's look and way you go.
Be sure not to leave any debris of klennex on those holder contact panel.

- If the cartridges shorted out, you might have to buy a new print cartridges to resolve this error.Oct 03, 2009
- I can't seem to read pg 5 of the user guide. On my computer it just line and can't enlarge it, and comes out lines..
