How do I copy files from the flash memory of my Casio EX-Z57?

I forgot to load my SD card and took some shots of my grandchildren.
They are recorded on the flash memory and I can see them on the LCD but when I cannot seem to copy them to my PC.
Alternatively how can I copy them to the SD card?

SOURCE: Problem with memory card

As long as the xD card was not formatted it is possible to recover the images that were accidently erased or unable to be retrieved and transferred. You can go to the following website link and download an image recovery software program that is free of charge.
http://www.z-a-recovery.com/
You want to download a program called Zero Assumption Recovery. It is a very simple program to use and people have had much success in recovering lost images from a bad memory card.

Data recovery is a booming industry, and many appropriate services and software can be found by searching regional phone and business directories or the Internet for terms such as "image recovery" or "data recovery".

SOURCE: Copy camera images to memory card through camera

In the camera setup menu there should be a backup option that allows you to copy the images from the internal memory on to the xD picture card.

I lost driver for casio ex-z57

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Why won't Kingston SDHC 4 gb card work in Casio EX Z57 camera

The EX-Z57 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While an SDHC card will fit into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Hi, I took some great pictures recently before i realised my kids had removed the SD card, the camera came with a cradle to charge the battery and to download the pictures, this cradle is now broken, is it...

You can't copy individual files, but you can copy all files from internal memory to an SD card.
  1. Load the card to which you want to copy.
  2. Turn on the camera, enter the Play mode, and press MENU.
  3. Select "Copy" and press right-arrow.
  4. Use up/down-arrows to select "Built in -> Card" and press SET.
For full details, refer to page 203 of the manual.

Casio Exilim ex-z57 inconsistent blurry pics

Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and giving the camera time to lock in the focus before pressing the rest of the way? If not, the good pictures were just luck. The size of the card has nothing to do with it.

Memory card issue

First off what is the size of the mem card? Second did you make sure that you formatted the mem card with the camera before you tried to use it? What I would recommed is transfer your files to your computer FIRST. Then format the internal memory of the camera once you have transfered them over. Insert your memory card and then format the mem card. Turn the camera off and take your mem card out. Try taking a video. Turn off camera. Put mem card back in and see if you can transfer that video now and it should work.

Casio Exilim Z57 Date and Language set up

OK, here's the fix. This camera has internal flash memory that is used to store settings and can be used for limited picture storage. Its use for saving setting is essential, however. If this gets corrupted then the camera won't save settings. Whoever said to format the internal memory had the right idea.

After much experimentation here's how. Remove your SD memory from the camera and turn it on. This will force it to run on the internal memory only. Run through the time/date/location setup again. It will complain about the memory card. Ignore this and press menu. Under Setup, select format. Choose format memory card and do it. This will format the internal memory. Once it is done, turn the camera off and back on. You'll notice that the problem is gone and it has remembered your last setup.
BTW, my camera is a EX-Z75. Not sure there is a Z57 model.
