Turn off buzzer

Need to turn off buzzer for a kenmore 400 series gas dryer, heavy duty super capacity, manual does not list it

Can you just find the buzzer and cut the wires and tape them

Assuming you mean the end of cycle alert. The only way to do this is to follow the wiring diagram and install a switch to cut it off.

Dryer runs fine but heating unit will not ignite


If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

I have a Kenmore 80 series Heavy Duty Super Capacity Plus that stopped turning on.

If the drum does not turn at all the motor, may be bad, belt may be off, the tensioner may have popped out of it's mount.
If it turns very slowly the belt is slipping. It may be stretched and needing replacement or again the tensioner may have come free from its mounting

Heavy duty super capacity plus Kenmore 80 series Electric drier the timer is running, but when I push the start button - nothing

the drum belt may be broken. you will have to check this, it goes around the drum and the pulley on the motor. you could also have a bad motor.

It sounds like your heating element has broken. There are several links provided on this site on how to replace it. You might want to take a look at to purchase a new one. He has pretty good prices on the element.

Dryer timer is not working and won't heat but runs fine

check the ignitor. That's a very common cause for no heat in a gas dryer. other possibilities are the coils, or it could be that you have a bad fuse in the dryer.
