Re: xbox trouble

Your CD Drive tray needs new alignment. I don't know what to say about your Video Port since it works sometimes.

My x box disk tray wont stop opening what shood i do

My best advice would be to turn your XBox off, unplug it, and leave it alone for a couple hours. If you try and use it again and the issue remains, either call Microsoft or your local videogame store to see what advice they can offer.

The xbox starts up on its own and the tray opens. When it plays after a time the disk just opens and the game shuts down

ok, take the disc out, then what you want to do is leave the console turned off, turn it vertically so the power button is up the top, turn it on and off 3 times, lie the console horizontally then bang it on the top a couple of times.

this worked great for me, hope it works out 4 you

I turn on my xbox 360 and it says open tray and wont read disc

I have had this happen about 3 times. The first time was when i figured out how to fix it. The 2nd and 3rd were temporary.(Just needed to be turned off for a moment) You need to shut the console off for atleast 15 minutes 10 at the lowest with everthing unplugged. I mean the hard drive, memory unit, and all cables, and adapters. Then after 10-15 minutes plug everything in and DON'T PRESS the BUTTONS ON THE XBOX OR THE CONTROLLERS. Press the button to open the tray and take out the game or dvd and put in a different one. If this doesn't work do it all over again and then put in a different game or dvd not the previous ones and turn on the console the same but then a soon as you get the disc in and closed in shut it off then open the tray and wait till you are at the main menu go into any program so you can't see it is reading and close the tray. If that doesn't work contact the xbox support line. Really hope this works for you.

360 wont turn on

The disk tray button on the unit is probably being pushed in from the outer cover. When you took it apart and put it together you may have pinched the button in. Very carefully inspect the disk tray button area. The button needs its full range of motion. The faceplate is pushing the button in and that is why it works without it. Or the face plate is making the top cover to press in on the button. Go over the area and watch what the pieces are doing when you assemble the front in regards to the tray button. I had the same problem. Remember these pieces are plastic and after being run (heat) the plastic may want to warp a little since new.

Original xbox wont load and tray wont open

Ouch, horrible problem.
Try these:
1. hold the eject button for 30 seconds
2. leave the xbox off for a few minutes
3.try a new outlet[may not have enough power to do anything]
4.get a new power cord
Hopefully this helps
