Simple. When you copy the dvd, you do as usual as if you were going to copy it to another disc. Then when it asks you to insert the new disc to copy to, click abort. It will then ask you if you really want to abort, then you click yes. Then it will ask you if you want to clear the data you have just created. Click NO. Then you can find the .vob file in The Copy 123 Temp folder. This folder is always created for optical storage. It's what holds the movie until you write it to a disc. Hope this helps. Cheers.
