Question about Lexmark C533DN InkJet Printer

I bought a new cartridge for my printer and it still won't print...I just had my computer fixed for virvses..could that be the problem

No, that should not affect the printer, but I would suggest reinstalling your drivers for the printer. And make sure your cables are nice and snug and plugged in properly. Sometimes it doesn't work if a cable is loose. Also, try to print something without using the computer. Does your printer have a scanner? If it does, you can copy something and print it out, that will let you know the printer is ok and it could be a driver problem on the computer. And when you go to print make sure that printer is the one selected to print, because sometimes there is more than one printer option. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Dell 725 won't print saying unsupported cartridge


Had the same issue, bought some cheap inks off the internet and the printer wouldn't accept them, bought the proper dell cartridge did a head clean and it worked ok.

I have a four in one Lexmark x5630 printer and have replaced cartridges with brand new black and colour 36 & 37xl. The printer won't even print a test page - just says that cartridge error co


The problem could be due to a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a short in one if the printheads. Please follow the steps below to identify and fix cartridge issues:

  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-In-One is busy. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer or unplug the printer from the power source and then carefully slide the carrier to the center.
  3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
  8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
Try to contact the store where you bought the new cartridge(s) and have them replace it. You may also contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance (especially if you're using genuine cartridges).

New color cartridge won't print


Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.


If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

  1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
  2. Go to Programs.
  3. Go to Lexmark 2600 Series folder.
  4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print cartridge nozzles.

After printing the test page, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My office jet G85 won't print. No error messages appear,it has a new color cartridge,it copies, but won't print from my computer.


If it copies ok, then the issue is either the way it is cabled to computer or the print driver software settings on pc.... How is it connected via USB? Check port and correct driver is in windows/control panel/printers. Reinstall.

The black ink on my Brother DCP-130C won't print and it's a brand new ink cartridge. I thought it was a defected cartridge so I bought another one, same thing. The other 3 colours print ok though....


I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

Installed new 28 and 29 cartridges in lexmark x2550 and it won't recognise the cartridge and won't print at all, very frustrating please help urgently


It could be that your cartridges need some cleaning. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Solution Center. Click Start menu > Programs or All Programs >Lexmark 2500 Series > Lexmark Solution Center. My Brother LC61, bought in Nov.2010, won't print black. Recently replaced black ink along with all color inks...replaced black ink again when it quit printing...still won't work. Machine whirs...


This is common problem with Brother Printers. I am going to assume you are using Non-Brother branded ink cartridges. Brother cartridges have a cleanser in the ink that most generic cartridges don't have. This in turn causes the jets to clog and not allow ink to pass through them. The fix is to go buy a couple of Brother cartridges and do a cleaning with those cartridges. You may spend some money doing this as a cleaning wastes a lot of ink, but it will clean the injection lines and fix the printer. You could also consider buying a new printer. I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but it is the true answer. I just bought a new printer due to this fact.

verify you have the correct cartridges abd enure you renoved the plastic protecting the cartridge circut
