Loss of Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Connectivity Sony Vaio VGC-LV1S

The wireless mouse and keyboard on our recently purchased Sony Vaio VGC-LV1S PC freeze periodically and it appears that this is because the wireless connectivity is lost (the wireless connectivity symbol on the keyboard disappears). The only remedy is to re-boot. It's really annoying.

I have the same issue on a VGC-LV180J where the wireless connection dies and the provided mouse/keyboard do not work until reboot. It's not the batteries.

I went to Sony and typed in your particular model and added mouse at the end and got some results. There are some refurbished ones but I would never recommend those. The one i do see is $30,probably plus shipping too.Do notebook mouses have a smaller plug attachment or something? You said you searched online.I would try office depot or staples if you already haven't and there is one near you.You can call and ask rather than drive there. Also, optical mouse is the best.So much better than the rubber roller, well worth it's weight in gold.Anyhow here is the link.Good luck! Wireless mouse locks up

I would suggest investing in a USB mouse. They never have this problem and are very cheap to buy. I have found that wireless mice are prone to problems. I would say there is a problem in the connection between your mouse and the laptop but this sort of problem is quite hard to find. As I said, you are better off with USB mouse.

Its probably a compatibility issue with the hardware. The best is to use cabled mouse and keyboard.
