Problem for Yahoo Messenger

Yahoo messenger will not run the WEBCAM

my windows is Windows Vista Home Basic Version 6.0 (Build 6002: Service Pack 2)

when I try to run the WebCam ( Genius VideoCAM GE111) in broadcast it goes through connecting then pops a message "A network error occurred while connecting to the server"

the Cam works fine in other apps like MSN

please help
