I consider this a work around more than a solution.
While studying the problem, I think there must be speaker hum, non responsive remotes, and various other problems that all seemed to be tied to the back-light intensity. For whatever reason, the system voltage on the tv seems to be affected by how bright the bulbs burn. More power to the bulbs means more power everywhere.
Following that train of thought, Use the Lighting button on the remote and changed to "Bright Room", then tune the tv off/on. an check whether it works fine
The problem is almost certainly affect some component(s) on the main board.
I read same issue once. Power on, no digital channels, and auto search does nothing. I've read somewhere that the remote had issues and can send wrong signals. Took the batteries out from the remote, switch the TV on from the TV unit, and it works. Try it couple of times and check whether the things are OK. Put the batteries back see whether it works. Please try it and let us know so we know if the remote is the source of the issue.
If it still doesnt work, try changing the main board and it should solve your issue..Try finding a retailer and ask for stan by main board till your main board get serviced..
please leave me comment, if you need further assistance
