Mitsubishi CS-35503 Blank Screen for a few moments then total loss of power, will not turn on
Great television, lots of years of good images until last few weeks with an occasional loss of picture for 2 to 5 seconds. After two weeks of about 5 occurances the picture finally quite for good. No indication of any power at this point.

Re: Mitsubishi CS-35503 Blank Screen for a few moments...
It must be some transistor that is failing.. i recomend you to give it to someone who can fix it for you, because tvs, even if they are unplugged, they can give you a strong electrical charge tat can even kill you..

There are two issues, the first is a vertical deflection problem, "needs a few parts+an ic" the second problem is intermittent color, "crystal and color processor ic" If the set is close to 10 years old then your money is better spent on a new tv.
The problem is in the vertical section of the main board. Bad capacitors and maybe the vertical IC. If you are not inclined to be a tech you will have to take it to a shop.. I don't know what they may charge but I normally get $69- $89
your set has indications of several problems. red green and blue. indcate convegence issue. the fact that the picture is concave is a indication of totall loss of covergence power supply. the convegence menu missing idicate loss of some voltages from what know as the flyback.AND SHUTDOWN. indicate further problems. generally when convergence fails ..not always the set wont shut down. it could be a simple issue but further trobleshooting would have to occur to narrow it down.
I has a similar problem and I didn't quite fix it but made it less noticeable.
Press menu and then the code 2-3-5-7, this enters a service menu. Press Audio/Video to go between the options to get to options 40-50 to adjust geometry. Be sure to write what setting there on before you change it (even if they're wrong) just in case.
Its just trial and error from there, and hope I can still help.
