SOURCE: Power LED blinks red

it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty environment is not a good idea

SOURCE: KDS-R60XBR2 power led blinks 4 times,

There are three fans the one that usually fails is located on top of the optical block and cannot be reached by the owner unless you take the set apart yourself. What is happening is that one of the fans are not spinning fast enough or has stopped altogether. The best solution is to replace all three fans cleaning may not be enough to get a slow fan up to speed, and the tech should blow out the dust in the duct work. This is what the tech coming out will (or should) be doing. Also some fans will have an intermittent startup, and cause this intermittently, so it is a good idea just to replace the fans instead of just cleaning them.

Sony tv model number KDL-40W600B with total black screen. Not getting any picture at all, including the loading screen and no sound.

Is the TV showing that it has power? Try connecting to a different source. How old is the TV? It could be that the chipset has malfunctioned, the LCD panel or Digitizer is damaged, if that is the case, sadly it is often cheaper to buy a new TV than it is too fix them. Good Luck!

Replace tv video card

FOLLOW this steps and fix it. God bless you

Perform some basic troubleshooting steps that apply to all TVs. These include checking the "Mute" button to see if it has been pressed, examining the L/R balance to ensure sound is coming from both speakers and checking the cable connections to auxiliary components such as the stereo system (which controls external speakers).

Double-check the audio output jacks if you are using an S-video connection (a single round perforated jack) or component video connection (a trio of green, blue and red jacks). Those jacks only run the video signal to the RCA TV. In order to get an audio signal, you'll need to connect red and white RCA cables to their respective jacks on the TV.

3 Check the back of the TV for a switch labeled "Int/Ext." It controls the sound input on some RCA TVs. If you don't have any separate speakers, the switch should be set to "Int."
      • 4
Activate the sound set-up feature by pushing the "Menu" button and scrolling to the sound bar. (This option can usually be found only on RCA flat-screen and projection screen TVs.) The sound bar allows you to set the sound from mono to stereo, activate the surround sound features, adjust the sound for headphone use, set volume levels and activate preset sound levels for movies, sports, concerts, video games and other specific sorts of programming. If any of these settings don't match the configuration of your home theater system, it may cause problems with the sound. If you're confused about the options, select any settings that read "Normal" or "Automatic." That should set the RCA TV to factory standard audio settings.

Press the "Menu" button and scroll to the "Set-Up" option, then go to "Preferences." You'll see a bar on the menu marked "Maximum Volume." You can use that to limit how loud the TV can get, which can cause problems if you don't know it's been set. Move the arrow on the bar to reset the maximum volume, then hold down the "OK" button on the remote to hear what that volume sounds like. You can then listen to the TV as normal.

I cant get any sound I did the trouble shooting

    Changing the Audio Output
To switch audio output from the internal TV speakers to a connected external sound system or headphones:
    Press 1. MORE.
    Press 2. 9 (AUDIO).
Press 3. until the Speakers option is displayed. The Speakers option will display only if an A/V receiver connection has been detected.
Press 4. to switch between TV and either AV Receiver or Headphones.

Check if the MUTE key is on.
    • The TV's "Listen to:" setting may be set to SAP (analog program from the ANT input) but no SAP is being broadcast.
    • Check that the Speakers option is set to TV to hear sound from the TV speakers. Possibly sound is being sent to one of the audio outputs for an A/V receiver or headphones.
    • If using an A/V receiver, check that the Speakers option is set to AV Receiver to hear sound from the A/V receiver speakers.
Press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds to perform System Reset.

    My insignia 37 inch tv

Press menu and use the up or down arrows to find the audio section adjustments. Press the right arrow and again use the up and down arrows to find tv speakers, Press the right arrow to either turn on tv speaker or turn them off ( This is used only if you are using the output signal from you tv in to you stereo input to have surround sound.) Turn them on to listen to sound from the television speakers only. If this does not solve your problem, Press the mute button on you remote control to release the mute function. If all this does not work the telephone number for Insignia is 1-877-467-4289. Talk to them about you problem and see if your television needs some type of service to restore the sound. Hope This helps you with your problem.
