Sync b/w google talk servers and my comp clock???

I am getting the error Connecting to Google Talk servers has failed due to an expired authentication certificate

Verify the date and time are correct on your system.

This seems to be the number 1 cause for this.

Google talk sign in not open cnnection error


"This error most commonly appears when you have no connection to the internet.
If your internet connection is working, you may have an issue with your firewall or proxy server. First, make sure that your firewall is configured to Allow Google Talk; we've provided instructions for some of the more popular firewall applications below:
A proxy server requiring a proxy username and password could also cause this problem. To configure your proxy:

Connecting to Google Talk network has failed due to an expired authentication certificate. The common cause of this expired certificate is due to time differences between your computer and the Google...


Right click on the time on your task bar thats at the bottom right of your screen. Check to see if your time and time zone are correct if they are go to www.gmail.com and log in then go to settings and make sure that the time zone is the set right there. One of them will be not set right. Once that is corrected you google talk will work.

Connection error


Your antivirus' firewall may be causing this. Here is a link that could help you allow google talk from your firewall.

You can also do the following:

Add the Google Talk application (googletalk.exe) to the approved list.

hello, this is the problem with the SSL security certificate.. to solve this problem in firefox ... first when this error is displayed there wil be a link that says " add this certificate " , click that link and add the certificate to ur browser.. the problem will be solved ... or else go to internet options in ur browser and check for certificate settings .then download the certificate from google with the option given there....
