Well it's actually not so bad once you realize where they hid the screws. Gently pull outwards on either side of the housing that surrounds the brush and vacuum. There are no screws for this piece it simply snaps off and on. Once this piece is removed you'll see two phillips type screws on the side where the removable hose attaches. Remove the two screws and pull off the molded section they keep in place. The brush will now come off revealing the rotor that the belts slips over. The belt is placed over the rotor and the brush cylinder in a figure eight. Reassemble and you're ready to go. Now if Shark will only help customer locate a replacement belt you may find this info useful...

Take the flip over cover off. Looking from the top, the screws are on the right hand side. One is for the wheel and the other just helps hold on the side plate. After taking off the screws, and pulling the plate, the roller will drop out. Put the belt on the drive pin, make and 8, and shove the roller back through. NOte that the roller has squares on the end that has to match up with the cowling. When pushing the roller through, mount the inside one first, then get some pliers, and pull up on the roller by grabbing the brushes, and then put your right hand side plate back on. Put the screws in, and the the cover plate. Ed C

How to change a belt on a shark v15z vac. tks john t

John -

Your vacuum doesn't have a belt - only vacuums with rotating brushes use drive belts.

What problem are you having - why do you think you need to change the belt?

Broken belt on infinity vacum

Hello,

You may find the belt for your vacuum through the link below. Unfortunately the only way that Shark sells this belt is with both belts as a set, you can not purchase each indiviudal belt separately.

I have also uploaded the instruction manual for your vacuum in a .pdf file on Fixya. Please note that it may take sometimes up to 24 hours for the manual to show up. Please check the following link over the next 24 hours. This instruction manual gives you step by step instructions on how to replace the belt, and also contains diagrams that will help you follow along.

Here's the link where the instruction manual will be downloaded. The belt change instructions are on page 15:
http://www.sharkclean.com/manual/NV31_REV_0706.pdf

Here's the set of belts that go on the Euro-Pro Infinity Upright model NV31, Shark Part Number 1085F:
http://www.govacuum.com/eushrebesetf.html

I hope this was helpful to you in solving your belt problems. If this was helpful please rate the repair helpful by clicking on the thumbs up icons in the top right hand corner of the repair.

Thank you very much,
