Make sure you have an original OEM charger for the MDA. Many of the knock off chargers don't provide the right amperage for the device. What happens is that since the phone is completely dead, it can't regulate how many amps the battery should get during the charge and an incorrect charge current won't charge the battery. I'm guessing that someone sold you a Motorola RAZR charger or another knockoff made for the RAZR. This might charge your phone when the battery is working, but not when it's DEAD. Also you won't have luck plugging it into a computer USB cable because, again, the phone can't tell the computer what charge to send and most computers only produce <0.5 amps in the USB port.
Get a charger that states it is an OEM (original eqipment manufacturer) device or one that is specifically designed for the MDA (or Cingular 8125). eBay is full of them.
I think something's goofy with these headsets. I bought 2 of them recently (one for me and one for my g/f). Within a week or so, she told me hers just "died" - and she couldn't get the blue light to come on when it was plugged into the charger.
Mine acted dead too, just a day or so before she told me about her problem. On mine, I think I just held down the "volume down" button and the main button at the same time for about 15 seconds and it appeared to "reset" it. That apparently didn't work for hers, but oddly enough - after a few days, we plugged it into my charger and it started working again!
You need to put Jabra in Discovery Mode. Press the "Volume up" and the "Power" button at the same time continuosly while you have your Razr in the add Bluetooth mode. Once they meet you will be asked to pair, concur. Then you wilkl be asked for a passkey.. The universal code is "0000" (4 zero's).
I have the DMC-TZ1. The charger is labelled "Panasonic DE-A25 battery charger". It has 3 contacts where the battery fits in. With no battery in place, the voltage between the top and middle pins is 2.61 V. The voltage between the middle and bottom pins is 2.19 V.
Check those voltages. If they are very different from mine, I rather think the charger is not working.
You can buy the batteries for very low prices on ebay from Hong Kong and other asian sources, but I've been told by someone who tried them that they do not work. Perhaps you have run into one of those.
If you can find someone else with the same battery, a quick swap will tell you if your camera is okay.
I got my camera on ebay and it works perfectly.
