My canonZR600 problem

I accidently plugged my phone charger into this video camera, I purchased a new battery and installed it, the video camera no longer blinks when charging and the charge light stays on all of the time. the video screen lights up with nothing on it. it stays lit when its in the off position, the play position and the camera position. is this camera just fried or is there any way to repair it

Camileo p10 wont turn on or charge

I had a similar problem with the P10 not charging via USB, I purchased mine second hand so it came with no charger just a USB cable. I assumed it would charge by the USB cable but it did not, the red light flashes but doesn't charge. Luckily I have an external battery charger for a different camera i got some years ago that takes a similar battery , the P10 battery didn't fit properly so I had to place it at a 45 degree angle into the charger making sure the outer contacts were lined up properly and taped it into place. After an hour it was fully charged and the camera is working fine. The charger is a 4.2 volt charger. New external chargers can be picked up on ebay cheaply

Charging issues

Was it the actual charger for the phone? Identical or not sometimes some chargers send more power and could result in an electrical shock to the phone. I'd recommend just buying a new battery for the phone.
This has happened to a few of my friends phones, they got the new battery worked fine there on out.

My name is Satheesbabu. I have a Canon Video camera MV 800i,purchased 6 years back. I lost the power chord. It is written on the camera 7.4V in one place and 8.4V at the power connection point. Please...

there are several power cords on ebay for your camera as well as new batteries if you need one. Do an ebay search for MV 800 charger, here is an example of one I found.

Can't find my charge adapter for my Jazz HD 188. Will it charge by plugging into the USB port of my PC?

Some phones charge the battery in the camera like a phone, but many do not. This camera has a USB connection, which is meant to be used to transfer photos from the camera to a computer. If your (now lost) charger was plugged into the camera to charge it, and it plugged into the USB connector, then you can charge the camera with any lead that will fit the USB connector, as this will have a standard voltage. You can even charge it from the computer, without buying a separate charger.

However, if your charger charged the batteries outside the phone, by removing them from the phone and placing them in the charger, then it is very unlikely that they will charge in the phone, whatever you connect to it. I have a camera just like this, that requires an external charger.

I can't get it to charge

This is typically caused by one of two issues:
  1. (Most likely) The battery has failed and needs to be replaced. If the battery is older than a year and seen heavy use or been plugged in to the charger for long periods of time, this is likely the problem. Verify that the power adaptor is not bad (below) and purchase a new battery from a local retailer or online.
  2. The power adaptor is bad. Plug in your power adaptor and verify that the power LED is lit. If it is not, then it is bad and will need to be replaced or alternately, you can purchase an inexpensive external battery charger. They are available online or often from your local retailer.
A couple good sources for batteries/chargers:

Hope this helps.

My camcorder doesnt charge up properly, ive purchased a new batteery and charges a bit but doesnt charge to full, light keeps flashing to say somethings wrong. I put it on the pc and it seems to charge.

Is the charging of the battery part of the camera or is it a separate charger? Meaning you remove the battery from the camera and install it into the charger to charge. Of course, if the charge is not full when both batteries have been on the charger, then the charger is at fault. Also, considering that you have also put a new battery on the same charger and the problem is still the same, then the charger is (again) at fault. You can try and send the charger to the retailer for inspection or, better still, take the whole camera and get it checked. Bad batteries or charger can cause more trouble to both the batteries or the camera.

I put my camcorder to charge, but it won't charge at all

If this is happening with your new battery, your charger is possibly defective and improperly charging. I suggest trying a new charger!! Hopefully this helps,,please rate thanks!!

Draining battery

This camera has had problems with the primary switch block faulting. The camera will power up all by itself when unattended and drain the battery. Another symptom would be the battery refuses to charge fully because the camera must remain in the "OFF" mode for the charge process to begin. Sony in Laredo, TX is replacing these controls at little or no cost, I would call them to see if they will repair this for you. Hope this helps you. Joe Weibel Custom Electronics (
