The fuse pops when I plug in the set. Otherwise there is no power.

Does the fuse pop even when you have the TV off? If so, it's most likely it's a short in the power cord. Examine the cord closely, and see if there are any breaks in it. If you have a voltmeter, see if you're getting much resistance if you put one tip on each prong of the plug (while it's unplugged, of course). You should have infinite resistance, while the TV's off.

It could be something within the TV's power supply, but I think a damaged cord is more likely (and it's MUCH easier to fix, just cut the cord and splice a new one on). If you're sure it's not the cord, check it again... and if you're still sure, let me know and we can delve into the difficult things that are less likely, but possible, to be the cause.

Want to replace 1998 ignition with aftermarket one....need to know color codes of each of six wires and where to place them on new switch.....thanks

I'm a Locksmith.. what kind of car ?? Mist us cars you just change the ignition in the housing... Forgien cars we pick them to the account and push a button and the cylinder is removed and a new one with keys pops right in.
But if you need to replace tge whole housing and it didn't come with a plug on the wires you may have to remove the old one and remove the wires from the plug and wright down what sequence they came out and put them back the same way

Pops electric panal breaker

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

A dehumidifier is similar to having another refrigerator plugged in. It is recommended that it be plugged into a circuit of its own. If you are talking about the house fuse or circuit breaker it could be the circuit has to many products plug into the that house circuit. I would suggest moving it to another area of the house to see if it also blows that fuse. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

We just had our church sound system totally redone. When any equipment is plugged in or unplugged we get really bad pops. The system has to be off to change any instrument. The guy who installed it said...

If your system has a mixer attached (I'm assuming it does) make sure mixer channels are muted when turning system on and off. Also mute channels when plugging in instruments. Muting channels will protect system from pops (and yes they are normal) You really should have someone operating mixer whenever you use system. For more info; contact folks at ALS (Audio Logic Systems) they're in Bloomington, Minnesota but contact them online and they'll help you through any problems. How do you disconnect the turn signal wires from the turn signal assembly so you can remove the steering housings?

They plug in to a connector under the dash on the column. Drop the column down and unplug the harness. Then you have to carefully and patiently pull it up through. If there is a cover over the wiring below the housings it just pops off for easy access. It goes together the reverse. Hope this helps.

How to change the third brake light.

1.) unplug the connector in the trunk (its a small white plug running up to the third light, there should be a small clip you squeeze).

2.) remove the 2 gold-colored screws from inside the trunk. They can be seen from the trunk. 1 is thru the larger square opening where the wire connects to the 3rd brake light. The 2nd is on the right side thru a small (screwdriver width) hole covered by a piece of foam tape stuff I had to punch me screwdriver through the foam to get to it.

3.) after removing the 2 screws, go inside the cabin and the brake light housing pops up.

4.) disconnect the bulb from the housing while inside the cabin (I had to do this with me two forefingers since the housing only pops up and inch or two).

5.) in the trunk remove the wire and bulb. (it's about 5 inches long. the wire from the connector to the bulb socket)

6.) reverse steps to install.

It is a pain and reqiuires a bit of time only because there isn't a lot of room to move around, but it beats taking it to the dealershio!

Popping the Breaker

Ok, first a couple of things, you didnt mention if it popped the breaker when you were using the oven, burners, of both or if it does it as soon as you plug it in. If it does it as soon as you plug it in, you have a short in the back of the unit. you need to pull the back panel off and look to see if the broil or the back element wires were touching the the back panel. This is a common short. If it only does it when you are using both the burners and the oven, you might have a weak circuit breaker that needs to be replaced in your house. Unfortunately, age has little to do with it, I've gotten new breakers that didn't function correctly.
