Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
I have a GE SpacemakerXL, model #JVM1330BW 002, made in 1996. Everything works - timer, clock, fan, lights - except for it won't start when the "start" button is pressed. The cook timer counts down, so it doesn't appear to be a door switch issue. Could it be a fuse, or something worse?
On some ovens, it can be a door switch. I've jiggled a few doors over the years and had some ovens start running. In this situation, the switch assembly is usually out of adjustment. Or the door is not activating the switches properly.

It could be a defective thermal fuse,h.v. cap,h.v. diode or the magnetron tube are defective
