Normally it is not recommended to place a refrigerator near an oven, that's what most people would agree with - however, I have an encased oven near my fridge and never had problems - Keep enough air flow at the back and sides of your unit to allow the heat from the condensers to dissipate properly - Of couse your oven will make your unit work longer, but sine you are not running your oven 24/7 I don't see the problem.

With modern refrigerators, the condensers are at the bottom with a fan blowing air on them so I wouldn't worry about it - Just make sure that your refrigerator is not exposed to excess heat, that your condensers are clean and that you have the proper clearence at the back and sides.

As I stated in my reply - it is not recommended to run a refrigerator next to an oven as also stated in your manual and by most manufacturers - however, depending on your setup and normal ambiant temp and clearance area around your fridge, you may not experience any problems.

From my personal experience, I have not experienced ANY problems - I had an old 25 year old Kenmore fridge, never would the temps go that high - During hot summer months the compressor would run much longer, but cooling is maintained.

My new GE unit is unaffected at all and compressor run times are the same. In both cases it has not impacted at all my cooling.

Might want to check your door seals they might not be tight. Of course if you have very excessive heat dissipating around your unit's clearance area, this will affect its performance - which is why it is not recomended - this is a killer - In your case the heat is too excessive, obviously your compressor is being tortured, remember how your refrigerator cools - by the principle of removing heat and dissipating it - If your condensers cannot dissipate their heat, your unit will not cool fast enough and your compressor run-time will be continuous or very excessive, also putting higher pressure on the compressor as well - and your unit not able to dissipate heat faster than it can cool - result - cooling problems.

#1) Those are unsafe temps - Temp variations like that is not good for your food!

#2) you an extreme workload on your compressor and you are reducing its life cycle !

#3) If you live in a hot area and your kitchen's ambiant temp is already hot - the oven will not help at all.

My enclosed oven is even less than 3 inch from my refrigerator, however the heat rises up and the door opens sideways, heat escape to the left, away from unit.

Any direct heat towards your refrigerator = a big no-no - your refrigerator in order to be able to cool has to remove heat - if you throw heat at it, it defeats the purpose - your unit will not function properly.

    I hope this helps !

I have Thermador double oven. It wouldn't heat up (top and bottom). I replace Control board and digital display. Now the bottom oven heats up but the top one still not working. Could you pleas

Double check each connector to be sure it is installed (aligned on pins) properly. Also check wiring diagram for a safety limit thermal switch. If it has one, push to reset it.

Dacor double oven, lower oven works fine, upper oven doesn't turn on at all

I had the same problem after auto-cleaning my oven just before Thanksgiving. The cause was overheating...and the tripping of a heat sensor switch.

The switch (reset button) is located about 3 inches behind the door locking mechanism.

Removing the front panel (4 screws) that the door lock sticks through exposes the switch. Just push the little red button & your are back in business!!

Installing ge profile double oven not convection in new build trying to find out electrical requirements ( size breaker 50,60amp ?)

You must use a three-wire, single-phase A.C.
208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertz
electrical system. If you connect to aluminum
wiring, properly installed connectors approved
for use with aluminum wiring must be used.

That means that you ned a double 40 amp breaker.

Good Luck

I have a frigidaire package heat pump,in heat mode it goes into defrost everytime it runs for a few minutes,no matter what the outdoor temp.is..it runs about five minutes or so and goes into defrost for...

That is usually caused by either lack of airflow through the outdoor coils. (Dirty coils, need cleaning)
Bad defrost board. (needs to be diagnosed with multimeter and extensive explinations and/or experience to be sure)
Low refridgerant, causing premature freeze up and in turn causing frequent defrost cycle. (Recharge to proper pressures with proper refridgerant type. Requires EPA certification for use of refridgerant, you would also need refridgerant guages, temperature reading device, and refridgerant.)
