Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
A loading screen freeze usually means that there's the wrong version of the software installed. You have to make sure it was made for your specific model of R4, and there are a few out there. There's a great tutorial to set it up on http://www.dscardworld.com with pictures and links to all the official software on their support page. And I noticed they made a video about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV4sNQf2uS4
If you need to upgrade to a DSi compatible card you can get a genuine cards there too. All their DSI compatible cards are clearly labeled. I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it.
Best of luck!

Pull the r4 card out and take out and put back the sd card. This sometimes works, failing that use a computer and borrow a friends r4 card and copy it then delete your files on the sd micro and replace them with the copied ones.
