Try booting to the ENABLE VGA mode off the F8 menu if you can get to the desktop and then you can go to display properties and see if you can reset the resolution to normal. If no go, try updating the video driver

My hp monitor S5500 when boot on it desplay out of frequency range and set resolution lower or see monitor users guide. What can i do to clear this information.

It means that the resolution set in the pc is higher than what your monitor can handle. Boot in Safe Mode, go to Control Panel > Display and in the Settings put a lower resolution - 800x600.

Has a blue dialog box that says out of range

Hello

It sounds like you have two separate problems.

The first one is the "out of range" issue. This means you are trying to display a screen resolution that is too high or too low and your monitor cannot display any image. Reboot your computer with another monitor or into safe boot mode and change the resolution to an industry standard (800x600 / 1024x786) and then see if your monitor will display the image. Once you can see the image on your monitor, you can make adjustments and it will automatically revert back if you cannot see the new display settings.

Update your video graphics card drivers to get the best possible resolution.

As for the buttons on the front of the monitor not working, this may be caused by the "out of range" issue above. It could also indicate that your monitor may be going bad. Try the above steps - if you get no image from the monitor, try moving the monitor to another known good computer and see if the button functionality works after it displays an image.

When computer boots up my screen says out of range but if I go to safe mode it works . What is out of range

When you boot up normally your computer sets the screen at the resolution you choose. In safe mode the screen's resolution is by default 800X600.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

DELL E153FPf doesn't show the image

OSD Warning Messages A warning message may appear on the screen indicating that the monitor is out of sync range.
Cannot Display This Video Mode
This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. Either the signal is too high or too low for the monitor to use. See Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical frequency ranges addressable by this monitor. Recommended mode is 1024x768 @ 60Hz.
Occasionally, no warning message appears, but the screen is blank. This could also indicate that the monitor is not synchronizing with the computer or the monitor is in a power save mode.

Intstalled starlogic moniter to PC and got error message

Hi,
the "Out of Range" message usually appears when the video card is putting out a video resolution or frequency that the monitor isn't able to handle. You should reboot your computer and BEFORE the Windows screen shows up, press the F8 button once every half-second. THis will bring up the boot menu for Windows. Select "Enable VGA Mode" and press enter. THis will load Windows in VGA mode where the screen resolution will be 800x600 @ 60Hz. Any modern monitor is able to use this. Once you log into Windows with the basic video settings, you can go into the Display properties within Windows and bump up your resolution and frequency as needed.

KVM Monitor resolution out of frequency and will not display

Restart your system in a VGA mode (you will find this below Safe Mode, by pressing F8 before windows is loading) This way yours screen resolution will be at the very low frequency then you can change it back to the resolution you like. Eg. 800x600 or 1024x768. Remember to keep your Screen refresh rate lower like 75Mhz
