Youtube on my vizio 470i tv is off centered

The TV can display images in four different modes: Wide, Zoom, Panoramic, and Normal. Each mode displays the picture differently. To change the screen aspect ratio:
1. Press the MENU button on the remote.
2. Use the Arrow buttons to highlight the Wide icon. Press OK.
3. Use the Arrow buttons to highlight your desired screen mode and press OK:
• Normal preserves the content's original aspect ratio. Since the 4:3 aspect ratio is not large enough to fill the TV's screen, black bars are added to the left and right of the display image.
• Wide stretches a 4:3 aspect ratio picture to the edges of the screen. Since the picture is being stretched, the display image may appear distorted. If the program is already formatted for widescreen viewing (1.85:1 or 2.35:1), then black bars will appear on the top and bottom of the display image.
• Zoom expands images with black bars to fit the screen.
• Panoramic expands the display image to fill the screen.
images may appear wider than intended.
If you are watching widescreen (1.85:1 or 2.35:1) content, black bars will still appear on the top and bottom of the display image. This option is only available when the TV is displaying a 480i/480p source.

A verticle line in the picture "Top Down Dead

The symptom of your television is vertical problem. The problem is in vertical section of the board.Maybe theres a leak capacitor in vertical section. So try to replace the leak capacitor, the value is 100mf 35 v.You can identify the leak capacitor through visual checking if you have no knowledge in using tester to identify the leak capacitor. If you can see the capacitor have rounded shape at the top while the good capacitor is flated shape.

I have picture at the top and verticle lines at

Your panel needs replaced. Half a picture, top to bottom, provides a quick diagnostic. You panel has a Timing Control (T-Con) board failure. Watch out for part cost, it may be cheaper to replace the TV rather than repair it. I hope this helps.

The lower half of the screen goes black, with a whack to the left side of the unit, the picture comes back. Also, the top 4 inches of the screen continues to have colored lines running across it,which will...

Your tv picture is managed by several boards, the two specific ones are the ysus and the xsus. The Y controlls the horizontal pixelation and the X the verticle, if you are having horizontal problems then its the Ysus thats faulty, on this particular set, the Ysus board has two accompaning buffers that are particularly troublesome. I've had more than one of these sets in the shop recently with the same ailment.
Sounds like your buffers are starting to go out. The screen is split horizontally by the two long skinny buffers attatched to the Y main, if the bottom one has one leg in the grave you'll be getting a partially black screen or no picture at all. The colored lines running through the screen are more typical of a failing buffer. Are you interested in taking this set apart and putting a couple hundred into fixing it? If so, comment and I'll post pictures of the dismantle and the buffers you're likely going to have to replace. I can also recommend where to get them but this fix isn't cheap. When buffers go they usually take the Y main too. Worse case scenario you're gonna be out about $350 dollars to fix it yourself. Best case, a ribbon is loose on the bottom buffer and with a dismantle you'll be able to connect it again, but seriously, when in life has the answer ever been the best case scenario? Maybe your luck is better than mine.

Verticle lines on screen

This is a very easy fix. Your cable box is not grounded correctly. To fix this you need a AC Plug adapter. This will change your TV ac plug from a 3 wire to a 2 wire. This may sound funny, but trust me on this. I have fix a lot of TV in NY doing just this.24001fc.jpg
