Need to replace black keys on Korg triton. Is it a major job to take the keyboard apart and replace the keys? In Bermuda there is very limited repair resources. I have replaced keys before on my old Roland D-50

Typically lots of screws to remove. Be careful unplugging any ribbon cables. The cables are easily damamged by exerting force on just the edges.

Have new parts available BEFORE taking it apart for repair.

How do I restore a dead key on a Korg X5?

What do you mean by applied graphite...graphite powder? That is not the solution I wouldn't think, you need to use a keyboard contact repair kit, which has a solution you paint on? Something like the link provided might be in order. Make sure there are no improper conductive bridges formed between the contacts in the PCB board surfaces. Replacement rubber pads (the part that presses down) are available from any decent service provider (try Syntaur if can't find http://syntaur.com/korg_x.html ) (beneath key) Korg Key Contact Repair Kit Replacement Keys and Parts for Korg Series Keyboards

I can hear only one side of the sound coming out from Korg triton extream keyboard. It's not the cable problem for sure. i tested both the earphone out put and the Left and right out put. Did a

So you're saying with headphones you also only hear one side? I would suspect the internal amp is panned all to one side. There are also several other settings in this unit where pan can be set so you may have to check several areas. If you don't have any specific custom settings made I would try a restore to factory defaults. If that doesn't resolve it you likely have a hardware failure which is likely not repairable. I strongly suspect a panning issue though.

Either the floppy format of the Triton is not PC compatible or maybe you don't have a floppy drive on your computer? If the latter, buy a USB floppy drive... about $20

If this is happening on all keys it sounds like your aftertouch is not set right. You may not have gotten the key assembly lined up quite right also. Check these first.
