Yes, you do not have a wireless network card on your machine. You could go to
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ACER-3.0GHz-5700G-DESKTOP-COMPUTER-w-17%22-LCD-MONITOR!!_W0QQitemZ220487392823QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090929?IMSfp=TL090929134001r13881

and purchase from there online.

    Karan,

Having a card and a card slot are two different things. Look at the back of the computer, does it have a socket that looks like the phone socket, only bigger. If it has that, then you have a LAN/Network card. If there is none, then you do not have a LAN card. and you will have to purchase one.
However, to access Internet, you may not need a LAN card. If you have a modem in your computer. If you find a socket of a phone type then you have a modem already. Just attach your phone line to it and you can access the net.
Or if you have a Wire Less Router installed, like from BSNL, or from Airtel, the you will have to install a LAN cable to the router and access the net or install a wireless dongle and connect to the router wirelessly to access the net.

It means that your PC does not have a Network Card which more populalry known as LAN Card. You can buy one from the market (Realtek ones are the most popular ones)and insert them in your computer using the instructions in the manual that come along. After that you can use this card to connect to internet.

In case the card is already there are you are only missing the drivers then you can go to Acer website, search for your computer model and download the drivers for Network / Ethernet card fro your Operating System and install it.

Acer Aspire 5733 Wireless connection lost

Check the wireless router and high-speed modem.

If the two are not powered on, or if the Ethernet cable connected the two is not completely inserted into both connection ports, you are unable to access the Internet on the Acer Aspire One laptop computer.

Activate the wireless Internet connection on the laptop computer.

Right-click the wireless icon on the desktop, then choose "Enable" from the pop-up menu.

Without activating the wireless receiver on the Acer Aspire One, the laptop is unable to detect any wireless network.

Select the appropriate network you wish to connect to.

Your computer may be attempting to connect to a different Internet connection, preventing you from access the network you desire. Right-click the wireless icon, select "Search for available wireless networks," then choose the network you want to access.

Restart the computer.

The system may have booted and failed to detect the wireless receiver. Restarting the computer corrects this issue.

I can't connect to the wireless Internet despite

Borrow other wireless adaptor, then plug it to your desktop. Try to connect ...but U must install the adaptor driver too. If it works, that means your internal adaptor is out of work.

    No Active Internet Connection

If you want to use the wireless portion of your router, you would need a wireless adapter installed on your desktop. If you are getting internet on your desktop then this means that your wired connection is fine to the router is fine. The WMP54G adapter will work with your router, however if you are not planning on connecting to the internet wirelessly through the router then there is no need to purchase the adapter. Hope that this helps you out.

CANNOT CIONNECT TO WIRELESS ORANGE NETWORK

Is this a new laptop, or was it working and just stoped.. When it says internet connection is disconnected, did you try setting up the wireless settings, or just turn it on and it didn't work. If its the latter, right click on the network settings "properties" and see if it's showing. If not then look on tht same page and select "create a new connection". It will set up our laptop, just follow the directions
You may be asked to connect a wired connection to yyour router, until it gets the information it needs, at some point it will ask you to remove the wire, that should get u going, ty

When i try to connect 2 the internet it says somthing about a network security key or phassphrase

Do you have a Wireless Internet Network. If you do, then go to your modem, and disconnect the power wire and plug out your Wireless Internet Network. Wait for about 10 seconds, then start reconnecting your internet modem and plug in your Wireless Internet Network. Sometimes all 4 green lights will appear.

If it said "network security key" or "passphrase". Then you should buy a USB Flash Drive.
