Toshiba satellite L750-iq6 won't shut down or sleep?!?

That is a software issue with the OS. Was it always like this? If not, try a system restore to some time in the past when you know the unit was working fine.

Problem not in your monitor, but in your videocard, I've got the same. Your videocard overheats and your monitor shut down. You need to check cooler on your videocard. Maybe it full of dust. Sorry for my bad english) hope it helps to someone.

Gateway monitor fpd2185w goes to sleep and then shuts off

I suggest to mess around with the monitor buttons and see if you can disable it from sleeping from there. If not then try enabling it to sleep on your computer settings. A good restart after any changes is always helpful.

AOC Monitor says "no signal" and won't wake up!

This monitor refuses to wake up because it cannot find the signal from the computer.

When the light is amber, force the pc to shut down by holding the power button until all lights go off. Then, after about 10 seconds, power the pc back up again.

If this does not start your monitor, unplug all the monitors connections and plug them back in again. These things should reform the connection from the pc to the monitor.

good luck

Monitor goes to sleep and won't wake up

Yeah, im not sure about how to fix the problem with it shutting down like that, but one option is to go under your control panel and taking off the sleep function, or putting it on a 4 hour timer so that doesnt go into sleep mode anymore. However, the problem is not your monitor but your computer. Id just take the sleep mode off, there is no need to have it on.

Monitor goes to white at cpu shutdown

The problem is in the "soft switch" technology: On some of Sylvania's newer monitors they have incorporated what is called "soft switch" technology. This allows your ATX power supplied computer to turn your monitor on and off using it?s software controls. Therefore, your monitor?s light will always stay on blinking even when your computer is off. The monitor in normal operation consumes about 80W of power; in the "OFF" state it will be reduced below 8W. The "OFF" mode of the monitor can be controlled by the PC input signal or by pushing the soft-power button to disable the PC signal control for manually turning off the monitor screen. Thus, when the monitor is in soft-power "OFF" mode it still consumes a very small amount of power. For the purpose of making it noticeable to the user that the monitor is in soft-power "OFF" mode, we designed the power indicator to provide for a slow blinking signal (every 2 seconds). If you need to totally turn off the power, then the power cord would have to be unplugged. The same is true of the PC itself, but the PC does not provide for notification while in "OFF" mode.
