Dishes aren't clean...still chunks as well as a white residue

So....I bought this model used for $50 (delivered). Obviously someone had let it get moldy. Seriously moldy...around the door, etc. I followed online directions and first ran it with hot water, then with bleach in the wash compartment, then with a cup of vinegar in the top tray.

Took care of some of the mold, but not all.

So i put vinegar in the rinse compartment (I swear on vinegar and use it for everything...even on my hair to break down the hard water build up). However, my dishes are not coming out clean. Sometimes I have to run them through 3-4 times and even then only some are clean, and others either still have chunks on them or have a thick white residue.

Can I save this thing or should I get rid of it?

P.S. I REALLY hate doing dishes, so I'm willing to try just about anything.
