Ge electric broiler inoperative

Merry Christmas!
My JBP26GV3 electric oven broiler and temp sensor went out. Replaced both. Temp is now good but broiler and self-clean won't work. What's the next step?
From what little I could find, it might be a fuse on the mother board.
Thanks,

Yes, the clock and timer are functioning normally. The door locks and self-clean appears to start but the broiler element, after being replaced, doesn't turn on either in self-clean or in broil mode.

What's the next thing to check?

    Thanks,

    - Peter

Thanks. I'll do it this weekend and inform you if successful or not. Are there any fuses or fusable links to be aware of, or any particular readings other than opens or shorts?

I'm a former USAF aircraft radio repairman so I know about different readings as well as the normal precautions... but ovens are not radios!

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Temp control

No adjustment. Could be bad temp control unit or bad oven temp sensor. You would have to purchase a repair manual and test the current flow to and from the circuit. And then testing the oven temp unit with multi-tester.

Oven went in self cleaning mode and shut off door unlocked f90 error code will not bake

During the cleaning cycle, there was a temp sensor malfunction that may have damaged the temp sensor. this is a common occurrence with this model. this is refereed to as a runaway temperature code. the sensor lost control of the cleaning cycle and it got to hot. the temp sensor is fried and it will need to be replaced.

Sf195lehz5 free standing gas oven,

Check both gas valve solonoids for 216 ohms [blue broiler wire to the orange common and red oven wire to orange common] both must be ok.

Check oven temp sensor for 1080 ohms.

If above are ok then the problem is either the spark module or the control board.

Since the gas valve was not opening and there was not ignitor sound I replaced the spark module for about $90. You have a 50-50 chance of being right.

My range is relitively new and I'm haveing an oven light problem which I traced to the control board so I may replaced this board to for about $200.
