Either the drum bearing is bad or the drum glides/rollers are worn out and glazed

My drying is making the noise but it is not turning and the belt is ok, What can be wrong with it if it is not the belt?

how did you rule out the belt? Did you pop the top and see it? Did you pull on it?

Remove the front so you can see that it is in deed whole, then rule it out.

Let me know what happens ... post a comment here

Dryer makes rumbling noise intermittently

It sounds like a faulty roller under the drum. Need to pop the top of the dryer, then remove the front -- you'll probably easily spot the faulty part.

Candy cic60 condenser dryer

The drum itself turns on an axle or sprocket. It may need to be oiled. The motor that turns it may be going bad. The windings and bearing could be bad. I assume it is drying O.K.

My dryer was making a horrible scrubbing noise and now won't dry

My 14 yr. old Maytag dryer made the same type of noise. It was the fan. The plastic had broken loose around the shaft. As the shaft turned fast, the fan turned more slowly, hence the noise. Replaced the fan ---- perfect drying and no noise. $26.00 for new fan.

Runs but does not spin

If it still makes noise, the motor is probably OK and only a belt has failed.
Removing any access panel will probably confirm this.

Look for shredded fragments of a belt and empty pullies.
This shouldn't be an expensive fix.

Ge dryer makes grinding noise when drum is turning

If youve made sure that its not a roller thats dry or a belt idler pulley that dry, than yes its the motor, and oiling that will only make it worse.
