I have a new D300, plugged it in, filled it with water, turned it on and the screen says fill water. I then pressed "small", and the screen says "check up". What do I need to do to get it working? Thank you!

Water filter status has red light. Did not replace and now has green light and Ice maker stopped making ice.

Check the water inlet valve for any restrictions. You will need to shut off the valve from the household water supply before you disconnect the inlet tubing.

Check the screen that filter debris, If the screen is plugged, water flow will be restricted and the result will be small or layered ice cubes. Remove and clean the screen or replace the valve.

Inspect the ice maker mold to see if there are ice cubes present. If there are no cubes or very small cubes, then you should look for issues with the water fill system. Inspect the fill tube and the fill cup area at the back of the ice maker to make sure that they are not frozen. If there is an ice buildup in that area, confirm no foreign objects have disrupted the flow of water into the fill cup. If you find nothing the problem is definitely from the water inlet valve

Ice maker is not producing ice and the control light is blinking red

Inspect the ice maker mold to see if there are ice cubes present. If there are no cubes or very small cubes, then you should look for issues with the water fill system. Inspect the fill tube and the fill cup area at the back of the ice maker to make sure that they are not frozen. If there is an ice buildup in that area, confirm no foreign objects have disrupted the flow of water into the fill cup. If nothing obvious has caused the ice buildup then suspect the inlet valve, tubing or low water pressure. Inspect the outlet tubing from the fill valve to the ice maker fill tube for any signs of restrictions and replace if necessary.

Some water inlet valves may have a screen to filter debris before it can enter the valve. If the screen is plugged, water flow will be restricted and the result will be small or layered ice cubes. Remove and clean the screen or replace the valve.

Why will it not fill with water but will drain water?

The problem could be 1 of several.

1. Ensure the fill hoses are attached correctly ( hot and cold hooked to correct fill valve positions) and turned on.

2. Are you sure it's not actually filling with water but you're not seeing it because the water level is so low. If it drains the water has to be coming from somewhere!

3. There are screens inside the fill hoses attached to the fill valve behind the washer that can be plugged. When city workers flush lines sand can be forced into the home supply lines to plug these screens.

4. Bad pressure switch or the switch can have suds residue to cause intermittent problems.

Takes a long time to fill tank

You need to replace the gasket in the fill valve if it is a problem that was not there when it was new. If it is new? Check the water flow from the supply line to the toilet. Turn of the water to the toilet, remove water line from toilet, run water into a bucket to check flow. @ the bottom of the fill valve where the water connects, on the inside there may be a screen that in plugged

Turn off the water to the washer, unscrew the hoses ( do one completely before moving to the other)Once you unscrew the first hose you will see a small filter screen inside the opening on the washer,Remove the screen and clean it, replace it and reattach the hose,Now go to the other hose and do the same thing, once both are done and hooked back up, turn the waterback on and everything should work as normal.

The hot water fills fine but the cold water just trickles in. The screen filters in the hoses are clear. Is there another screen filter on the cold water? Do I need a new inlet valve?

yes, there is another filter which you must clean. turn the water valve off, then remove the cold fill hose from the machine, and there is a small gauze filter in side the vavle from were you removed the hose, using a small pliers, pinch this little filter out, it will be full of limescale, wash it, replace it, put back the cold fill hose, turn water back on and select your programme. you will find that it is now working perfectly.

Cold water fill is super slow

Do this:

1. Un-plug the washing machine

2. Shut off the cold water supply valve to the machine and then disconnect the cold water hose at the machine. Place a small container under the fitting when you do this to catch the water that will probably leak out.

3. Place the disconnected end of the hose in a bucket or the sink if you have one and SLOWLY turn the cold water back on. make sure the water pressure coming out of the hose is good. If so, the problem isn't there. Turn the valve back off.

4. Set the disconnected hose aside. Take a good look at the connection on the machine (where you disconnected the hose). There should be an inlet screen. It's common for these screens to plug up once in a while, especially if you are on well water. Remove the screen and clean it, being careful to not lose the washer. The screen can be rinsed out in a sink. Look for any other debris that may be in this connection.

5. Re-install the screen, re-install, the hose, turn the water back on slowly, and check for leaks. Plug the machine back in.

6. Try filling the machine again with the washer empty, just in case some muck also comes out so you don't stain your clothes.

7. If it works ok, you're done. If not, then the water fill valve itself may not be working properly and may need to be replaced.

8. A weak electrical connection to the fill valve can also cause this condition, but it's usually the inlet screen.

Good Luck and re-post if you have further questions!

Washer doesn't fill with water. Only enough for a small load.

A - Two things could be your problem...
1) - sometimes the screens in the fill valve or inside the ends of the fill hose get clogged up...use a tooth brush to clean them out. Don't forget to shut off the water first before removing the hoses to check for this.
2) - The fill valve itself may not be opening fully = time for a new fill valve.

Nespresso D300 says "Fill Water" even after I have filled container.

Even if you fill the tank with water, the machine will display this message when it is empty inside (the pipes, heating element, etc.) You need to prime it: run some water through it by running the steamer/hot water wand.  That should take care of it.
