Ok, you're going to choose 1 set of inputs for the subs on the amp (I usually use the low or rear which ever has more settings) Now in the output side you're going to use the positive side of the right side speaker and the negative side of the left side speaker (you can switch left or right as long as they are opposite sides). Lets start with the negative wire connect it to the negative input on one of the subs, connect the positive wire to the positive input on the OTHER sub, then get an extra wire to connect the inputs not used on both subs. Adjust settings in amp and radio and if it doesn't sound good use negative and positive outputs from one single output (only left or only right) Hope this helps.

Have jvc rx-2020v receiver with mono rca out for sub and trying to hook it up with polk audio rm 1000 w sub woofer with +/- terminals for both left ane right channels plus blue terminal(?). How to?

Your Polk Audio subwoofer is a passive sub and your JVC mono output is for connection to a powered sub. If the JVC does not have an amplified output for a passive sub, you'll either need to get an amplified sub, a different receiver, or buy a dedicated mono subwoofer amplifier.

How can i bridge a mtx 9500 using a mono amp?

You cant bridge it to the MONO AMP . You can only bridge subs & speakers to 2 CH & 4 CH AMPS that are bridgeable. Because if it appears that there is 2 channels on a Mono amp its so its convenient for you to hook up 2 4ohm subs to it easily But both channels are actually connect internally together in parallel inside the amp unlike a 2 channel they are separate.

So just connect your mtx 9500 to a plus and a minus and doesnt matter which since all the + terminals of are connected together and - are connected together already.

Whats important is on the side of the sub/box it reads 2 ohms. The lower the ohms the more power the Mono amp will put out. Mono amps are designed to handle 2ohm loads.

If it reads 4ohms The MONO amp is the wrong amp to use cause the power will be weaker. So if you have a 1000 Watt Mono amp at 4ohms the sub will only get 500 WATTS Max while a 2 ohm will get the full 1000 Watts.

If it reads 4 ohms connect it to a 2CHANNEL AMP and BRIDGE IT (connect + of the sub to 1st channels positive of the amp then connect - of the sub to 2nd channels negative of the amp) . The power will be doubled when you bridge it on a 2 channel amp. NOW if it was a 2 ohm sub and you bridged it to the 2 channel amp it will fry the subs and ruin the amp. 2 CHANNELS CANT TAKE A 2OHM LOAD BRIDGED OK.

PIONEER 300 WATT CAR STEREO AMP WIREING HOW TOO

depending on how many channels the amp is, you may not be able to hook everything up to it.

usually you have a separate amp for subs. 4 channel amp for the speakers in the car, and a mono amp for the subs.

To hook them all up to the same amp you would need an amp with 5 channels. It wouldn't work out right.

If you have a mono amp its only for subs.

If you have a 2 channel you can either hook it up to the rear speakers or bridge them to mono to run the subs.

you need a channel per speaker basically.

I have a carver M-2050i amp that I am putting in my truck. Want to hook it up mono to one of my 15" subs. Looking how to wire it for mono. do I use the L - and R - or L + and R+ or something else. I have...

to wire up your sub in mono bridged mode it's either L+ and R- or L- and R+ it should say this on the body of the amp in front of the speaker terminals. If it does'nt i would check to see if your amp is bridgeable if it is not i would advise against it as this could damage the amp.Hope this is helpful

How do i wire 2 4ohm single coil subs to a 2 channel 6ohm load?

If you can setup the Amp as a Mono Amp this will work for you very well unless the Amp needs a 12ω Load when setup for Mono Operations. You will want to hook the Two Subs in Series so that the Amp will see 1 8ω load. This means you will hook a wire to the Positive pole of one Sub and hook the Negative Pole to the Positive Pole of the Second Sub and hook the Negative Pole to the Amp's Negative pole. This will reduce the overall output but will end up having better reliability of the Sub since each sub will only see ½ the overall output of the Amp and you will still get the full output of the Amp.

KAC-9104D output terminals

ok i have the same amp and 1 2ohm dvc sub and was woundering the same thing but from futher research and askin sum xsperts. What i found out is that it is only one channel and even tho there are 2 (+) and 2(-) they actually connect inside the amp makein it one . so if u wanted to wire sumthing parralel u wouldnt have to hook wires from one coil to the other on the speaker , u can just hook it up to the amp. so basically both +'s and negatives on the amp are actually one within it so all the power if you only use one set of them and if u wanna add more subs its just easier to add to the amp by using the xtras .

Adjusting wattage on kenwood kac 9103 class D mono amp

That amplifier is 900W x 1 @ 2ohms.
If your subs are 4ohm SVC wired Parallel, resulting in a 2 ohm load, each sub will only see 1/2 of the rated power. (450W ea.)
Your gain (sensitivity) setting should be between 75% and 85% to max. You will be fine.

My JL subs just dont beat like the ONES IVE HAD before as well as the ones my friends have had

sounds like they have your sub amp in mono but they put the speakers in series which totally cancels the benefit of running your amp in mono. you will probably be happier if you just hook the left speaker to left plus and minus and the right to right plus and minus. Cuz even though subs aren't directional they do pass some higher frequencies that are and that dilutes the stereo effect.

Wiring 2 subwoofers to a mono amp?

The subs can be wired "parralel" or in a "series". it depends on the ohm rating of the speakers and the amp. Most amps can only go down to 2ohms (mono) so it depending on the ohm ratings of the speakers when wired in a series vs parralel that will decide how to wire them. you can always take the safe route and just wire the positives of each to positive on the amp and the negatives to the negatives on the speaker terminals. Do you have the speakers model numbers?
