Question about Tefal T-FAL Avante Stainless Steel Electric Kettle Electric Kettle
Tefal quickcup leaks on worktop, had a rubber washer in box but no proper instructions, and sure it is to prevent this from leaking. But i have looked many times to see where this fits to no avail.thinking of taking it back to shop unless maybe you can help PLEASE

Press the Hot and Cold button for 3 seconds,
The red indicator light will start to blink,
Release the hot and cold buttons and while the red is still blinking, press the and hold the hold water button, Once the desired amount of hot water is reached release the hot water button.
Now press and hold the hot and cold water buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
The red light will stop blinking to the end of the programming.
NB the RED LIGHT WILL BLINK FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAMMING.
Repeat the process for the cup quanity selector for the cold water.

we had to return our first one for the same problem Gavin. Tefal (surprise surprise) claimed that nobody else had EVER had that problem. 2 years down the track though, and i've discovered that mine turns itself on at random intervals, and floods the kitchen bench. My advice - get a refund while you still can...

To reset the volume of water you just need to hold the red button till you fill the cup to your desired level. This will reset the auto fill function and next time you will get a full cup.

If you are in a hard water area you may need to descale the heater element. Try adding 1 cup vinegar to 3 cups water and run the machine should clear up the scale. Rinse thoroughly before use.
