It probably means what it says! You will need to have the Bios chip replaced, ask Toshiba for a replacement or purchase one over the Web. If you are not technical then I suggest you take your laptop to a dealer engineer, as you will need to work inside the laptop. Be careful that you don,t get skinned with the price €50 should be enough for a professional repair.

Best thing to do courtesy of Toshiba is to try and update your BIOS by going to this page:
The file you want to download is the one that says BIOS, it will be the 4th file down that you want. Download it and run it from windows, it will update your BIOS and may take a while. Once it tells you its complete, reboot the computer and try going into the BIOS then and see what happens. Should take care of the problem as long as the BIOS wasn't completely corrupted.
